Halo 4's ending could be a little bit rubbish

Rumour: "leaked script" also hints at main antagonist

Segments of a Halo 4 script have been liberated from a new vidoc by eagle-eyed fans. When's the last time you met an eagle who gets his/her kicks prising scanty details as to forthcoming games from montage videos? For that matter, when's the last time you met an eagle?

The script excerpts in question aren't necessarily the final article, and may indeed be a massive, massive tease on 343's part - it's hard to believe a first-party studio with the keys to Xbox's defining franchise would let slip a whoopsie of this magnitude. I certainly hope so, because this is a fairly silly denouement. Here's the excerpt in full, care of NeoGAF.

"In that case, you won't mind..." Cortana appears behind the Didact.

at all of the Cortanas emerging from the Bridge

"Compassion for mankind is misplaced." - Didact

"I'm not doing this for mankind." Chief then charges the Didact.

rushes towards Didact and jumps all over him (legs, arms, chest, back)

Several takes of "Cortana" tackling and climbing on random objects at full speed.

Didact is attacked by Cortana. He attempts to swat at Cortana as a means of self defence.

Didact unclenches his fist and drops Chief.

Cortana begins restraining Didact by constraining his limbs to the Bridge.

-Several takes of "Cortana" climbing on "Didact" actor and then...

a specific body part (head, back, waist, knees, ebows, shoulders)

-Didact struggle idle.

Chief is released

-Chief immobilised pose

-Chief falls, lands on edge

-Chief hanging idle

So in short: Cortana does a Zerg Rush and Chief does a Shadow of the Colossus. Not quite world-beating, to my mind. Read more about "the Didact" in our feature on Halo 4's mysterious new enemy.

    I think you're being a bit...Monday there Ed. Any ending is only as good as the story leading up to it and taken out of context they all sound bad. Eg:

    - He's not a cripple after all
    - He was his father all along
    - She's a He
    - He was actually dead the whole time
    - Something involving a heart attack whilst eating an orange

    See? 5 great film endings all spoiled by having no idea what's led up to them.

    usual suspects?, star wars, tootsie? lol, sixth sense, godfather.

    Though that was halfway through the godfather, the end would be man shuts door after another man shouts at wife.

    In fact I'd say you've given more context than the films actually have at the very end, which in this case we have only been ''given'' for halo.
