Another day, another set of strictly unconfirmed Grand Theft Auto 5 release dates, care of gun-jumping online retailers.
Gamestop now has the new GTA down for release on 1st March 2013, while Littlewoods takes aim at 31st May. Add their suppositions to the testimony of a Videogamer contact, who says he'd "bet my wife, my house and your life on it not coming out this year".
Not everybody's of the same mind. Zavvi holds firm to its 23rd November 2012 release date, despite a telling silence on the subject from publisher Take-Two Interactive. Here's everything we currently know about Grand Theft Auto 5, including all the rumours.

Theres no chance for a 2012 release its far too late in the day for that im just hoping it comes in the first quarter of 2013

Even though it will sell by the bucket load, i cannot help but think releasing Q2 2012 is a mistake.

Next March would be a good bet, it's still in their current financial year. It would have to be out before E3, or people will be saving up for the Gertrude. I'd also lay money on GTA 5.1 being released shortly after the Gertrude.

Well not strictly anything to do solely with the release date.But it has come up on cvg that R* have been showing a demo. of GTA V in NY today.It also reckons there will be new info. next month if not sooner,which i take means for the general public.

Definitely between March 1st and May 31st. Theres a big reveal coming up in the December issue of the American magazine Game Informer as shown in a retweet from Rockstar. I'm hoping for March.
