Free Mass Effect 3: Retaliation DLC is out now

Collectors! Classes! New Geth and Cerberus foes! Hazard maps!

Mass Effect 3's latest DLC pack Retaliation is now yours for the hauling away on Xbox Live Marketplace. It's totally free and swallows up 436.34 MB. Download here.

"The Black Arks have arrived!" reads the blurb. "In Mass Effect 3: Retaliation, Harbinger unleashes a new wave of terror on the galaxy: the Collector legions!

"Battle this all-new fourth enemy faction as well as reinforcements to existing factions like the Cerberus Dragoon and Geth Bomber. Face environmental hazards on the original six game maps, and achieve victory with new ammo powers, gear pieces, kits for the turians and volus, and Collector weapons!"

Read more about all that in our original Mass Effect 3 Retaliation DLC post. The Hazard maps in particular sound quite entertaining.

  1. Just got in, I'll give it a go once it's finished downloading. Really can't see myself playing it much though.

I wont be touching the Geth, that lot aren't any fun and are broken.

  2. Volus should be a laugh. It's a shame they are ultra-rare.

  3. Free?

are they still trying to apologise for their cock up with the ending

  4. Cock up? Where's Tobias when you need him.

  5. I've tried it, Collectors are quite nice, I just can't get into it though. The game has become far too stale for me to invest more time into the MP, with or without new DLC.

Paid DLC won't be a good idea with random unlock packs. You can also use real money to buy said unlock packs, EA/Bioware are making far more money with that, than they would with paid DLC.

  6. The problem with Mass Effects dlc (not including the multiplayer) is that its the sort of game that you complete once or twice to get different results and then just move onto another game so theres no point selling the dlc when people have had multiple play throughs of it.

  7. Just curious, is anyone finding multiplayer MUCH, MUCH more difficult since installing the DLC? Admittedly it's been a few weeks since I played, but I'm considering moving back down to bronze level just to stop dying every ten seconds.

  8. Set to download the next time my xbox is turned on - don't know if I will play it much though...
