Thanks GS for doing this! I have watched all ten episodes and looking forward to the next 14. AC is a wonderful series, even more so then I remembered. Hopefully AC3 will fix some of the gameplay problems that has held the series back a little (like the combat for example), so GS can finally hand out the 10 this franchise deseves :)!
their showing almost every single cutscene.. i want a 10-20 mins video not somthing thats gonna be over 3 hours
You really needed multiple parts to recap this story? I'll give you the TL;DR version...
****Spoilers****
AC1: Interesting sci-fi concepts, interesting anti-hero, amazing thought provoking ending.
AC2: Desmond learned some skills. Solar flare, blah blah.
Brotherhood: Nothing happened, then Lucy got stabbed.
Revelations: Nothing happened.
****Prediction****
AC3: Connor stabs some Brits. Desmond sits in a chair.
There is one thing, Assassins or "Hashashins" are a muslim creed it's like catholic and so, they are Shia'a who moved to Persia...so an Italian Christian assassin hmmm...a native american assassin hmmm.
i think Ubisoft didn't know that, the game should have stick with Altair or any Arabian or Persian muslim character,i think ubisoft should have dig more into the Hashashins history, 'cause this actually a big mistake, don't get me wrong im not against the game or anything i actually LOVE IT!!, but im just saying since Ubisoft says it's historically accurate.
P.S : if anyone saw my comment annoying to him or anything im sorry then im just saying :/ have a lovely day gentlemen :)
sgt_F79
I see your point, although I do think they knew that, considering they have professional Historians working in the team. Besides, the story isn't really focused on the Hashahins, it's actually focused on a fight for world peace between 2 entities who think the only way is to secure ancient technology from the opposition (all of which, would only make sense to be scattered all over the world). Besides, I don't believe every predecessor of Desmond is an assassin and it only makes sense for the story to shift to where there is a certain degree of world power/dominance for each of the eras they chose to exploit. After all, where there is power, you find Templars.
Ninjas say hi.
sgt_F79 its not annoying dw :D
By the way, I just remembered the CG trailer for Revellations, watched it again now, and boy had I forgotten how epic it was. Even though Revellations didn't reveal much and was probably the weakest of the entries in the series, I still think it had the best CG trailer of the all. I mean everything about it was perfect, especially the music (I'm ready for the fight... and faith... **arrow to the knee**... err... shoulder). Just brilliant.
I think Gamespot should also make a compilation of the Trailers :P mmm... or maybe not... maybe I just got psyched by Revellation's trailer ;)
Thank you so much GameSpot lol rainy day, not got work for hours and this feeds my AC appetite tremendously. I think you should do a video on how it relates to real myths and religions! Unless you already have in which case I feel ashamed.
Just finished this again last week and I still think that the story is the best of all AC's so far. AC3 has alot to live up to. Pleeeease don't fail me Ubisoft!
Requiescat in pace Ezio...
It's a me! Mario!
I'll miss Ezio.
SergioMX Me too. He's a wonderful character that provided a charming center to a great series of games.
Kevin-V SergioMX i miss altair more than ezio. AC1 used to be pure philosofy
Fowsed Kevin-V SergioMX I miss more Ezio because the nature of his story, it was more personal and more easily to love Ezio from the start of the game, but Altair starts by killing an old man and showing no remorse it's story is more cold, more business then personal, it's harder to attach to him then Ezio. In the end both are great characters and well written no doubt of that.
b10nutz Fowsed Kevin-V SergioMX I miss Ezio more too, It just feels like I never got to know Altair, I barely remember anything about him from AC1. In Revelations they give him a bit more character and I really started to like him, but Ezio just takes the cake. His story was more interesting, relatable in the start and it took nice twists. You actually saw him grow up to an assassin and his connection to his family and friends, Altair didn't really have that.
I think it is great that they post this videos everyday. I kinda am watching it while I am at work so do not tell me to get a life. It is like a TV episode that I need to get to have my daily fix on.
I really didnt have the time to play the 1st Assassins Creed and by watching the cut scenes it gave me a better understanding when I started AC2.
Thanks for posting this videos. I surely will come back for the next episode. Cant wait for AC 3 though!!
"Nothing is True" "Eveything is Permitted", so to all the Templars out there, please shut the hell up!! :)
why should i watch this when i can play the games?
bladezatron if you can play them then why are you here since nobody is forcing to watch them.
great job love all the videos... o yes and i have a job and a life(girlfriend included) killdot1335
If you have the time to watch all these videos, get a job please.
killdot1335 funny how you to take the time to criticize anyone watching these videos, yert you're a member of a video game web site yourself.
ChiefFreeman killdot1335 Well said that man. Let's face it, in the eyes of non-gamers we are all geeks and I am not ashamed to admit it to anyone, in fact I openly admit to my status of being a geek. :)
killdot1335 If you have the time to watch any television series, get a job please. If you already have a job and still have time to watch any series, get another job.
Two jobs and can still watch television? Donate your body to science.
killdot1335 Each set of videos is about 2 and a half hours. Are you really trying to tell me you have never, once in your life, watched a movie that is 2.5 hours long? Never seen LotR? Star Wars? Titanic? C'mon man this is just ignorant. Besides, I'm watching these WHILE I'M AT WORK!!!
Never seen a game get this much coverage on here, with a video "ad" almost every day, so how much are they paying you guys, seriously how much?
orbit991 Seriously? Nothing. Not seriously? Our weight in gold every time that someone even considers clicking on a video.
Back to seriously, we are a video game site, we produce content about games. This is a feature that seemed like something people would be interested in and could be helpful when getting into the next game as a refresher. Between all the games in the series, it's been a while and even if you played them you might not remember everything that happened. There were also a lot of people who didn't like some of them, namely the first (my favourite!) , and so they might have skipped them but still want to see what happened. These are also very long videos, so breaking it up and posting it daily makes it like a web series for people to check out a new episode each day.
Jan_Meja_Heir It's not just these remember what happened videos, it's the sheer volume of AC promo like coverage videos, new guns, new buildings, new shoes, that make me roll my eyes a bit, one title even had the word masterpiece in it, that's quite the foresight for something not even released. Hey I like Gamespot overall, but after a while certain things make you want to say, ok , give me a break.
orbit991 You seem shocked that a video game publication would publish video game content. Shocking, I tell you!
orbit991 Perhaps you also didn't notice that we did the same thing with Darksiders; we'll also be doing it with other games. This seemed like a great way to provide refreshers for upcoming sequels. Trust me--it's time consuming. We do it because we like providing interesting content--and also, because it's what we do. I am not sure why you think video game coverage is such a surprising thing at a video game website. If a piece of content isn't interesting to you, then hopefully there is other content that better meets your needs. Have conspiracies truly grown to the level that you think a normal piece of content is part of an insidious plot? It isn't tinfoil hats anymore--it's tinfoil skyscrapers!
Kevin-V orbit991 And these videos are amazing. Most of us really appreciate the effort!
How come "The Truth" video is not included? isn't it considered an important part of the story?
Omar_tobasy
im glad i wasnt the only one that noticed this...
Omar_tobasy
It's important in a world-building sense, but it isn't exactly relevant to the plot...
Omni_Paradox
Yeah, but still it is a an important piece of AC II that should've been at the end of part 5, because it will be explained later in the future editions, so newcomers should at least know that such a video existed earlier.
Omar_tobasy Omni_Paradox
It may be part of the final four Desmond episodes?
