Another update for the competitions.

I met Jay last year on Game Developer Conference. He is a really awesome guy, and lately I found out his work is even more awesome.

At the end of this year, jayisgames.com started it's online voting for the best free casual game of the year. flOw is nominated under Action and Arcade category.
You might find other great games you've played this year there too.

And the good news is flOw won! Thank you very much for your support :)

2007 Independent Games Summit Details Announced

Posted by on December 20th, 2006

Gamasutra ran an article today on the announcement of the speaker list for the Independent Games Summit, which will be taking place the Mon and Tues prior to the Game Developer's Conference at the Moscone Center in San Francisco, March 5- 6.

What was really cool is that our talk got noted in the article! It's really neat to see thatgamecompany listed with kick-ass indie developers such as Behemoth and Introversion. Rock!

Jenova will be talking on Monday in a panel on Innovation in Indie Games. Tues, Jenova and I will be talking about our work on the student project, “Cloud.”

I never tried to play it on a good computer. The FPS is so high which totally blows. You can watch the other 2 after this one is finished.

Holiday Game

Orisinal, a site of beautiful, simplistic, games by Ferry Halim added a new winter-themed game, which I found down right adorable, and hope you do, too.

If you haven't checked out Orisinal before, definitely look through the others. They are all very simple, but he often uses simple artistic touches to design or movement that give the games a very special feeling.

I know this information has been posted and re-posted now, but I thought I would put the actual USC press release link up here.

… or read the extended post for the text of the release.

I am really glad to see other people excited about us doing this. I mean, wow. That is really awesome. And Sony is really awesome for giving us this opportunity. Because we are actually in a position to make some really beautiful and special games. I just hope you guys get to play them!
