Oh ok. Personally, I dont think anybody expects to win a competition with this many contestants, no matter what the competition is for or how much I they may want it.

@Altaranga You can argue about your chances to win mate, but I give kudos to VG for putting up competitions like this in the first place! Sure the odds to win are miniscule for an open ended competition on the front page such as this, but I think what matters most is the fact that VG cares about its members.

I won the 30 second hero competition the other day and that is the first thing I have ever won in 27 years, fingers crossed for this, I'm so excited for this game n a special edition is beyond my budget these days.

I don't really want to be dragged into semantics here but there is a big difference between expecting to win and thinking you might [actually] win.

In answer to your question I don't believe anyone can honestly expect to win a random comp, however given the law of averages they might think that after entering so many in the past that their time to win has come (i.e. their opinions of their chances of winning are unreasonably high).
