Kelly Clarkson Releasing Greatest Hits Album
While the possibility of an all-covers album remains a fan-driven idea for now, Kelly Clarkson has confirmed this November will see the release of Greatest Hits – Chapter 1! Might as well just be a box set if you ask me, but I digress.

The news first came out of a Sony New Music Conference in London this September, but the singer officially confirmed it on her site today, as well as revealing a three new songs will be included on the CD, out November 19. The first, Catch My Breath, will be available on October 16!

"It's been a decade now since I won American Idol," she said. "Sometimes it feels longer because although it has been exciting that was a lot of pressure to have as a 19 year old girl. To celebrate the strength and longevity that my fans, friends, and family have supported me with I wrote this song Catch my Breath with one of my best friends that has seen me through everything. This song represents who I've been, what I've felt, and where I'm headed as not only an artist but as a 30 year old that is now smart enough to know that it's time to stop, catch my breath, and be proud of not only what has been accomplished but of all the people that have helped me become the woman I am today."
This kind of clears up comments Kelly made when she spoke with TheInsider.com last month, telling me, "We're releasing another 6 songs as well and we did a lot of the covers people request on tour, so there's that, and we'll probably do it again." Those are now available as part of a Deluxe Stronger Edition.
