Stevie Nicks is an angry gypsy queen! Stevie may have been a guest mentor for last season's American Idol contestants but the 64-year-old icon says she is glad she isn’t involved this year due to trash-talking Nicki Minaj. In an interview with The Daily, The Fleetwood Mac singer had some pretty harsh word about Mariah Carey and Nicki Minaj’s recent dustup, saying, "How dare this little girl! … If I had been Mariah I would have walked over to Nicki and strangled her to death right there." Whoa, the ethereal songbird’s talons are out! Stevie, are you trying to subtly tell us you don’t like Nicki Minaj? Because if you are, I am definitely picking up what you are putting down.

Stevie continued her rant, "I would have killed her in front of all those people and had to go to jail for it." Thems fightin’ words! If I were Nicki I wouldn’t go anywhere near Stevie – a landslide might just come down right on her head. The oh-so-mystical Stevie seems that powerful.

The Nicki Minaj/Mariah Carey fight was the best thing about last week. Nicki was like a rabid dog with a wig going after a piece of meat with huge boobs. Somehow Mariah remained calm throughout the fight and didn’t seem to engage the Starships singer. Nicki you are a woman of many talents, there are few people in this world who can make Mariah Carey look like a class act. You have proved yourself to be one of them. Kudos to you.

I don’t know about y’all, but I kind of want to see a Stevie-verses-Nicki duel to the death – it would be a swirl of fringed scarves and neon. The oh-so-feisty Nicki may be the new hot thing, but she better watch out for Momma Mac. I wouldn’t want Steve Nicks on my bad side – yes, might be a witch but mostly because she was coked out throughout most the ‘70s. Who knows what crazy sh*t that woman is capable of?! Whatever happens my money is on Stevie in this Battle Royale.

UPDATE: Stevie Nicks has since released on statement on Wednesday apologizing for her heated remarks: "I want to apologize for my remarks about Nicki Minaj's behavior toward Mariah Carey which I said during a long and exhausting day of interviews. It was very out of character for me and I deeply regret what I said. I feel very protective toward Mariah Carey who has gone through many difficulties in her life and I spoke without thinking. I think all artist should be respectful toward one another and that includes me. I am truly sorry."
