Adds two new brood skills and solves a few gameplay bugs..

Fix List

Various crash bugs (either lockups or crashes to desktop) have been fixed. Most notably crashes when loading a savegame, but also various ingame crashes.

A new option has been added in the Setup to switch resolutions when playing movies. This should fix the problem where movies play extremely slow or choppy.

Various minor graphical problems have been fixed.

Refresh rate selection now works properly.

Volume settings are now properly saved.

Mouse controls have been tuned for better playability

Movement actions (like Forward) can now be mapped onto mouse or gamepad buttons.

Lookaround controls have been improved for keyboard, and can now also be used on gamepads.

Various minor other fixes

This file updates the UK edition of Blood Omen 2 to 1.02

If you are installing this patch, and you are standing in the City of Votowne, go to the Republic Inn and save. We did have to change that map (Votowne), and any save games in that map will be invalidated!


HOW TO INSTALL THIS PATCH:

Double-Click on the file \AnoxPatch 1_01.exe\"" this will launch a new window.

If you have installed Anachronox to the default directory (C:\\Anachronox) then click on the \""Install\"" button. This will install the patch then launch the ReadMe file when completed. You may now continue playing the game.

THINGS FIXED IN THIS PATCH

We actually shipped this huge game in a pretty dang good state. However some issues were found that needed addressing and we've addressed those few issues in this patch. In this patch we:


Fixed the platform2 throwloonie so people performing it from level 1 and elsewhere wouldn't get stuck.

Unhappy Noxguard battle is tougher.

Changed the position of a Grumpos Yammer response window to match the others.

Fix traderbots so they trade always over $100... and actually charge you cash!

(In HephFactory) Made backtracking after you have the fluid impossible.

Could get two shocksphere upgrades and thus two teslatus spheres!!!

NPC \""Krequa\"" was grabbing but not releasing the player. This was causing problems later in the level trying to lockpick.

Fixed problem where player could clip through Krapto's Jail-cell when getting his bowl.

Fixed some minor dialogue.

Doorlord battle is no longer repeatable.

Spawned a time minder in Whitendon 'cause there wasn't one!!!

Rictus has 10% chance of missing now so Travis's \""whiff\"" can be seen.

General fixes


The game would sometimes crash when either a Commando or Allied Soldier tried to enter a vehicle when seen by a guard dog.


In the load/save menus some key sequences were causing the game to freeze and the music to loop.


Some tool tips of 1 character length were not being drawn. It was most noticeable in the Asian (Japanese, Chinese and Korean) versions.


Players were able to call themselves 'EMPTY', making it difficult for other players to know who's who both in character selection and in the game.


In the Central Europe Mission \Ambush Convoy\"" the armoured vehicles were stopping when they detected a Commando or Allied Soldier; this prevented the art trucks from entering the map when it happened near the western border. Now they will remember their true objective and will try to escape even if they see an allied unit.


The timer in some missions was over-running the objectives window making it difficult to read the objectives.


In missions such as \""Stalingrad: Berlin\"" the tool tips for some Gestapo soldiers were not showing as \""GESTAPO\"" but \""SOLDIER\"" which would be confusing because it appeared that soldiers of lesser ranks could see through a higher ranking officers uniform when worn by the spy.


Now every \""Gestapo\"" soldier tool tip will be displayed correctly.


When a crash occurs the profiles would frequently be wiped out and the saved games could not be read.


The F6 key inconsistency has been addressed. During the \""Normandy: Omaha Beach\"" mission the F6 key (when pressed) wouldn't highlight any of the Allied Soldiers.


When using a submachine gun the bullets were sometimes hitting enemies in a different room and were not hitting enemies in the right one.


When the following action was carried out (while climbing a ladder interrupt the action) it would Sometimes cause the controlled characters to crawl at twice the normal speed.


It was possible to exceed the amount of pages used for saves/load files.


During the \""Stalingrad: Protect The General\"" mission if at least one of the Commandos was already inside the plane and all the others were killed outside the \""Mission Complete\"" text was triggered as if the mission was correctly finished.


An issue would occur during a multiplayer game using Allied Troops they could be ordered to dive into the water although they are not intended to do so. They are then not able to resurface and quickly drown.


Text corrections have been made in the Polish Russian and Czech versions.


An issue with killing or stunning some soldiers who were sitting in a chair has been addressed.


During the Central Europe mission \""Steal the Train\"" the Thief would warp to a mismatching location when entering through certain windows of a train carriage.

Multiplayer fixes


Players crashing sometimes from chat room when players were being kicked from a game.


Occasionally when a co-op game is created someone would be kicked on the 'Configure Game' screen once a game was started by the host.


Once in-game if the game statistics were activated this would sometimes cause the game to crash back to the desktop.

Fix List (v.1.01 inclusive)

In open courtyard in the Sarafan stronghold, at the door that leads back to the time streaming chamber, if Raziel stands to the left of the door, opens it and enters the hallway, the unit falls out.

In the second Age, if the player dies in the spectral realm in pillars area (after talking to the ghost of Ariel) they will be sent back to the last marker. When the player returns to the fallen obelisk leading back to the pillars area the surface of the obelisk has become slippery and player will not be able to pass. If the player moves far enough away from this area, the surface will be reset and the player will be able to pass.

It’s possible to become trapped behind the locked gate that is in front of the tomb of William the Just located in the Sarafan Stronghold. If you happen to pass through this closed gate, DO NOT shift to the Spectral Realm. Just simply remain in the Material Realm, move to the backside of the center of the gate, and press the Action button. This will put you on the correct side of the gate. If you do happen to shift to the Spectral Realm while on the wrong side of the gate, then you will need to revert back to your last save.

At the load save game screen, if the user moves between the saved games rapidly and consistently, the save game portraits will become switched. If the user then loads a save game, all game textures will be incorrect. Note: Occasionally, if the user attempts to quit the game, the computer will lock up or crash.

The user can now configure all directional buttons.


The user can now map keyboard buttons to pan the camera left or right.


An option was added to disable camera control using the gamepad. This allows the user to fix problems with certain gamepads where the camera was constantly spinning around.

Camera control using the gamepad had problems where sometimes the camera would rotate really slow, and sometimes really fast. This is fixed now.


An option was added to not play the opening FMA. This can possibly help users which get corrupted graphics (due to driver issues) after the movie has been played.


Pressing ALT-TAB during either the opening FMA or the credits FMA sometimes crashed the game. This was fixed.


A much higher percieved framerate can be expected on certain highend machines. An issue was fixed which could make the framerate appear very low, while in reality it was extremely high.

Upgraded to the latest version of SafeDisc. It should offer improved stability.

Fixed an issue that could lead to random crashes, probably more frequently on slower machines. So increased overall stability can be expected on the US version.

User Missions
-------------

To create your own missions for Startopia you will need to go into the
StarTopia \""Missions\"" folder and create a new folder there with the name of your
mission. Then you will need to create several text files inside the folder
containing scripts trading data and so on. For the full details on how to do
this go to the StarTopia \""Modding\"" FAQ on our website read it and fetch the
\""Mod Guide\"" that's linked to from the FAQ which contains the complete Modding
reference. and follow the instructions listed under \""Patched Version\"".

Uninstalling
------------

If you decide you wish to go back to the unpatched version for some reason you
will need to reinstall the game from your original retail CD. You should back up
your \""Profiles\"" folder first in order to preserve your settings and saved
games. Just copy the folder to your desktop uninstall the game reinstall and move the folder back to where you found it.

Please Note this patch will not work for the German language OR Premier versions of the game.
This patch will only work on version 1.07 of Thief 2. You can find Thief 2's version number displayed in the AutoPlay panel below the quit button. You can call up the AutoPlay panel by placing the Thief 2 CD in your drive and waiting a few moments for the AutoPlay panel to load, or by running the program \panel.exe\"" found on the Thief 2 play CD. This is a big patch so make sure you really need it before you download it.

This patch will reset any save game to the beginning of the mission that the save was made in.

If you have a minimum install the patch will automatically copy additional files necessary for a normal install. This will increase the size of the Thief 2 directory on your hard drive by about 200 megs.

This patches addresses the problem with AI difficulty resetting, after reloading a previously saved game.

Download the Zip file to your desktop and extract it with an appropriate Zip file manager. Double-click the program icon inside it to run the update and follow the on-screen instructions for more information.

Add support for EAX audio

This PowerVR version of Tomb Raider has executables for both the PCX1 and PCX2 chips.


Version 1.06, 25 July 1997.


This now works with Cyrix CPUs, and fixes problems with 800x600 modes on Matrox graphics cards.


Depending on your 2D graphics card it can allow you to run at various resolutions including 640x480, 800x600 and 1024x768.


Even if your 2D graphics board has only 2MB, you may still be able to run at 1024x768 in Single Buffered mode. Linear MIP mapping is supported and on the PCX2 Bilinear filtering is also used.


Unzip the files in the Tomb Raider directory and read the README.TXT file.

How to use the Matrox Patch

- The Matrox Mystique/Mystique 220 upgrade patch for the retail version of Tomb Raider is now available. It runs in 512x384 resolution on 2MB cards and at 640x480 on 4MB and 8MB cards).

A replacement for tomb2.exe

This resolves issues with 'visual basic' errors.

Increases sound support and fixes the bug associated with save game problems on level 2 of the game.

If you are having Exception Handle error messages or are unable to load your saved game, we have made available saved games from the beginning of each level.

These files are zipped (compressed) so you will need Winzip or Winrar to extract the files before you can use them.
