PSN Store to shut down in Korea
Online store to be inactive starting next Friday; online play on PSN not affected.
Due to recent developments with South Korea's Shutdown Law, the PSN Store will be taken offline from June 29 in South Korea, according to a post on Sony PlayStation's official Korean website.
While the store will be inactive, players can still play online on the PS3. Sony Korea said that the store may come back online by the end of this year.
The Shutdown Law was created last year and prohibits gamers under 16 years old from playing games during a six-hour lockout from midnight until 6:00 a.m. The law originally stated that it would affect only PC online gaming, but it now affects PSN and Xbox Live users and members.
oh. so that's why there are so many koreans in the philippines.
2012 really is the end of the world. Australia gets an 18+ rating and Korea starts slamming online stuff.
all in all...korean parents failed
game freaks
Korea gamer everywhere :D
wait... how does a law the prohibits gaming for a certain demographic during a certain time period takes the store down, but not the actual online service? what exactly is the reason the store was taken down to begin with?
BrunoBRS I think they want their kids to get some sleep lol
South Korea looks like the worst place for gamers
Rifqi_Hb Nope. It is best place for gamers. In fact so good that kids spend more time gaming than studying, forcing government to make laws like this. Think of this like Holland making a law to restrict sale of Marijuana from midnight to 6am.
North Korea is best Korea
rawsavon lol. wanna go there?
jk. we all love trolls, don't we.
poorboy13
jokes = trolling now?The internet sure is a funny place these days
rawsavon sorry. just that trolls make jokes to make others mad, and that statement could be taken the wrong way by some, or misunderstood (like i did).

Not to get too much into the psychology of humor.BUTJokes ARE things that make us uncomfortable/mad/etc.That is the point. It is the mind's way of coping with said things
rawsavon Um... jokes are meant to make people LAUGH, not mad or uncomfortable. I guess you're the only one who misunderstands the psychology of humor.

Are you dense, playing dumb or do you lack basic reading comprehension skills (or some combo thereof)?
The topic of jokes are things that make us uncomfortable. Jokes and the subsequent laughter are the mind's way of relieving the social stress that accompanies the uncomfortableness.
I did not feel it was necessary to go over the most common joke/comedian topics. But it seems stupidity has forced me to break this down to the most rudimentary level. All one has to do is look at the two most common topics (race and sex/sex relations/sexual relations). What would be unfunny and uncomfortable in MOST situations is suddenly funny/acceptable in another social situation.
Why is this? Why are we not 'free' to laugh at it one situation, but we are 'free' to laugh at it in another.
If you can't answer that question yourself, then I suggest you read a social psychology book. I don't teach for free, and that is all the free tutoring you will receive from me
So.... Weird law huh?
Too much gaming in Korea i guess
