The ability of twins to confuse others is both annoying and a unique pleasure. Am I the one on the right, or the one on the left?

As one of the newest people to join the RPGamer staff, I should probably introduce myself a bit...

I am pretty much a lifelong fan of videogames as a whole and RPGs in particular. I can trace my love of videogames all the way back to playing Super Mario Bros. 3 and Megaman games on the NES in my pre-school years, but my love of RPGs truly began with Final Fantasy II on the SNES (though I suppose I should call it FFIV now). I had played the Dragon Warrior games previously, but that game amazed me with its strong story, beautiful music, and fun gameplay, and I have never looked back since. In the many years since I have played countless other RPGs, and being the incurable packrat I am I still own every game I ever bought, which is beginning to be a rather sizeable pile.

Of course, any description of either myself or my gaming habits would be grossly misleading if I didn't mention Adam, my twin brother. Having an identical twin who shares all of your interests is absolutely great. Because I have always shared all of my games with him since we were kids, I am probably one of the few people in the world who has sat down and watched another person play through entire RPGs as much as I have actually played them myself. I honestly think it is really fun. Thanks to that, I can't stand to play RPGs on my own if I have an alternative. Too bad Square never continued that great multiplayer option they included in Final Fantasy VI.

I don't really know what to say about the rest of my life and my other interests... I wasn't born here, but I consider myself a total native of California's Central Valley. I've always been a big fan of math and science but still somehow ended up getting an English degree from the University of California, Davis. Thanks to Xenogears I have ended up as a major fan of Japanese mecha and giant robots, and I am a pretty big fan of anime in general. I've also been known to play games like D&D; or Magic: the Gathering on occasion. Outside of RPGs, I think that about covers it... What can I say? I'm just not the sort who likes talking about himself.

If you're curious about some of my thoughts about games and gaming in general, please check out the blog I share with my twin brother that can be found through the link at the top right of this bio. My brother and I are pretty opinionated, spoilers abound, and updates have been more than spotty for a while, but I shamelessly encourage you to read it nonetheless.
