SQUARE ENIX’S UNSOLICITED IDEA AND CONTENT SUBMISSION POLICY

As you know, Square Enix is in constant development of many new creative products for our fans and something we create might be similar to something you have independently created. We wish to avoid any potential disputes or misunderstandings when a future release of ours is coincidently similar to an idea or work you sent us. Therefore, Square Enix and its employees do not accept or consider unsolicited creative works or ideas, including ideas for new games, movies, television programs, and marketing campaigns.

Please do not submit any unsolicited creative works, games, film scripts, code, plotlines, dialogue, artwork, music, ideas or other works in any form to Square Enix.

If you fail to abide by this request and still send us your idea or creative work, the following terms shall apply to your submission regardless of what your cover letter or email might state:

TERMS OF UNSOLICITED IDEA OR COPYRIGHTED WORK SUBMISSION

You agree that: (1) Square Enix shall receive a perpetual, irrevocable, non-exclusive, worldwide license to use your unsolicited idea or copyrighted work for any purpose, without any compensation or credit to you; (2) there is no obligation for Square Enix to keep your unsolicited idea or copyrighted work confidential; and (3) Square Enix may act as your attorney-in-fact solely in order to document this transfer of rights.

If any provision of these Site Terms shall be deemed unlawful, void, or for any reason unenforceable, then that provision shall be deemed severable from these terms and conditions and shall not affect the validity and enforceability of any remaining provisions.
