Final Fantasy XI: Rise of the Zilart (also known as Vision of Ziraat from various translations of the Japanese title) is the DVD-based FFXI expansion pack available for both the Windows and PlayStation 2 platforms. Gamers in Japan had to purchase this expansion separately, but the release of the PC and PS2 versions in America and abroad carries this expansion pack as a built-in component to the release at no extra cost.
The expansion increases several of the game's already large segments. Of those included, there will be additional areas to explore, new secondary classes and jobs, extended quests, and various bug fixes and balance corrections. The expansion must be loaded to use the new spells, areas, and character classes; items, however, can be exchanged regardless of whether or not players own the booster disk.
