CARDS: And the Next SJ ALPHA Promo Is...

 

Thinking about becoming an SJ Alpha member? If you become a member now (deadline date is rescheduled. We'll let everyone know what the new deadline date is as soon as we can.), you'll get our next Yu-Gi-Oh! promo card—Slifer the Sky Dragon! Fans of the print SHONEN JUMP magazine have already been treated to two previous God Cards (Obelisk and Ra), and now the trilogy is complete with this release. Just like the other God cards, each Slifer the Sky Dragon has Kazuki Takahashi Sensei's printed signature!

Slifer the Sky Dragon

[Divine-Beast/Effect]
Requires 3 Tributes to Normal Summon (cannot be Normal Set). This card's Normal Summon cannot be negated. When Normal Summoned, cards and effects cannot be activated. During the End Phase, if this card was Special Summoned: Send it to the Graveyard. This card gains 1000 ATK and DEF for each card in your hand. When a monster(s) is Normal or Special Summoned to your opponent's side of the field in face-up Attack Position: That monster(s) loses 2000 ATK, then if its ATK has been reduced to 0 as a result, destroy it.

I became a member a while back and I STILL haven't received Shock Master even. Hopefully, if Osiris, change the name 4kids btw, doesn't arrive for me, someone will be kind enough to trade it to me.

Set dates for when SLIFER goes out is still not set in stone, but I don't think you'll have to wait long for it after SHOCK MASTER. Members get four cards a year, and since the first doesn't go out until May-June, the rest will follow on a little bit of an accelerated schedule.

I got a Viz media email on Wednesday, April 11 saying I have three issues left. On my profile it says my subscription ended in April 22. Now the big question. Will I get Slifer the Sky Dragon in June or not?

Slifer and Shock Master so far I remember that the promo card will have a pack of three or more cards, so there is just one more card to be announced. Also I haven't gotten SHock master either and I am one of the people who subscribed and then transfered to SJalpha as soon as it was announced. I have yet to receive it so I hope I get both in May and June.

I have been waiting for this card to come out for months....and it has finally been anounced for certain that it is coming out. Once I get mine I shall complete my "god" deck....And, is it just me or does this drawing of Slifer make the other god cards look kinda gay?

SHOCK MASTER will be sent out sometime around May-June. SLIFER will come after that. Tentative date on when to expect to receive SLIFER is around July-August.

as a collector...I would love to get multiple copies of Slifer the Sky Dragon...how would I go about getting more? Making another subscription or buying from ebay seems a little pricey compared to paying $4.99 for JUMP and the promo card...
