We recently went hands-on with Max Payne 3 and really liked it – read our preview here – and this video reinforces what we were saying about the game’s technology.
The video, entitled “Visual Effects and Cinematics” highlights the cinematic presentation style and gunplay, with a look at the real time motion-comic panel generator.
The game will be released on Xbox 360 and PS3 on May 18th, with the PC version following at the beginning of June.

Really looking forward to this game, May is going to be hugely busy with this, Starhawk & about 5 other games too.

After the highs of Uncharted 2, was disappointed with Uncharted 3 and the genre needs a kick up the arse, everything about this suggests the production values are at least on a par with Naughty Dog, if not higher… The graphics look great especially with their attention to detail like the procedurally generated and context sensitive character animation, the action looks tight. Can’t wait

As much as I want this I would have preferred a new Manhunt. Or hd collection maybe….

As with every Rockstar game, the production values of this look absolutely top drawer. I was disillusioned with the direction they were taking Max Payne in but I’m really coming around to it, it looks like it’ll be a fantastic game.

MP3 is probably the best looking game that continues to slip under my radar time after time. Next time I see a pre-order deal I’m going to snap it up.
