ANOTHER STAMFORD BRIDGE DEBUT

'Our Club, Our History, Our Time' and 'London's First, London's Finest' were words passed overhead by fans in the Matthew Harding Stand lower tier prior to kick-off in the Juventus game yesterday, as a brand new banner was unveiled for the first time.

During the summer, the supporters who look after the 'Pride of London' flag that has existed in its current form since 2006, and was a new version of one displayed at our big cup games in the mid-1990s, ran a competition to design a new, giant banner to be displayed in similar fashion.

Our European triumph naturally featured heavily in the suggestions submitted and in the end, aspects of three entries were combined to make the one design, which also has 19 and 05 either side of the club badge - a reference to both the year of our birth and the date of the Champions League final in Munich.

The three winners who are receiving tickets for home games are James Clements, Daniela Morrongiello and Harry Coombes.

The judges have asked the official Chelsea website to extend their thanks to all who took part in the competition which generated an overwhelming response. They hope the new design is appreciated and displayed with pride. It will be unfurled again at this Saturday's match against Stoke.
