Finally, A Look At Tokitowa's Gameplay
New video, release date and a limited edition within.
07.22.12 - 10:18 PM

Long after the game's announcement, the newest trailer for Imageepoch's PS3 RPG Tokitowa (Time and Eternity) finally shows some gameplay, which many have been waiting to see. The video below starts off at the beginning of the game, with princess Toki about to marry... until her husband-to-be comes under attack. The event triggers an alter ego for Toki, named Towa, and the two have different fighting styles in battle. Red-haired Toki is more of a long-ranged fighter while the blonde Towa wields a knife and gets more up close.

You can see that the battles take place in real-time, and by pressing the right button at the right time, you can deal extra damage or a special move. (In other words, execute a QTE.)

Famitsu also revealed more characters and a limited edition. The purple-haired, slightly scantily dressed fortune teller Makimona had predicted the attack on the wedding. Bikodo belongs to and leads an assassin's guild when he meets and fights with Toki, who has traveled back in time. Yes, Tokitowa has that too. Toki doesn't travel through time until a couple of events after her wedding gone wrong, and there are no detail as to this element just yet.

Finally, the limited edition of Tokitowa, which is being published by Namco Bandai, comes bundled with a CD that contains the soundtrack and a drama, a code for eleven (yes, 11) costumes, and a 48-page art booklet all packed in a nice box (below). This edition is priced at 9980 yen ($127.50 US), the regular at 7980 yen ($102 US), and both will release on October 11th in Japan.
