Competed in international swimming competitions, including the US Disability Championships, the IPC Championships and the 2000 and 2004 Paralympic Games. While competing, she won many medals and also set a few world records. However, shoulder surgery in 2003 vastly limited her involvement in swimming, so she switched to basketball.
