Book your travel

Ticket holders are advised to book their Games travel early
Ticket holders are advised to book their Games travel early
Britain's sports fans travelling to the Olympic and Paralympic Games from outside London have been urged to get booking.

There are lots of advantages to booking your travel early – you can secure the best ticket prices and options before they run out, make sure you get to your event on time, and then relax in the build-up to the Games knowing all your travel is sorted out.

London 2012 has teamed up with transport operators to enable ticket holders to book their travel even earlier than usual, with a wide choice of transport options available. But tickets are limited – so if you haven’t yet, book now to make sure you can get to your event.

2012 Games park-and-ride – Secure park-and-ride sites are being provided at convenient locations close to a variety of London 2012 venues.

2012 Games coach services – Dedicated direct coach services will be provided to a number of venues from a range of locations across the South of England.

2012 Games Train Tickets – These special tickets are available exclusively to ticket holders for travel between 18 July and 14 September 2012 and must be booked in advance.

A number of London 2012 venues are also accessible by river – during the Paralympic Games, these are Greenwich Park, North Greenwich Arena, The Royal Artillery Barracks and the Olympic Park. Although not the quick way to travel, river services offer a pleasant and enjoyable way to get to venues while enjoying London's sights. Download a map of river services in central London here

Your Games Travelcard entitles you to one-third off the cost of the 2012 Games river bus express or 2012 Games river tour service.

In addition, the 2012 Games canal boat service provides a canal boat service along the River Lea, to the Olympic Park, docking just 70 metres from the Olympic Stadium.

2012 Games guided walks and cycle rides

Taking in some fantastic routes, the guided cycle rides and led walks offer an opportunity to walk and cycle in groups led by experienced leaders. There are a variety of options available, suitable for all including families. Guided walks and rides are free of charge but booking is essential as places are limited.

Private and chartered coach parking for large groups and coach operators is also available for booking.

Alternatively, you can plan and book your journey to the venue using the spectator journey planner
