Panasonic has been an Official Worldwide Olympic Partner in the Audio and Visual Equipment Category for more than 20 Years. Under the slogan ‘Sharing the Passion’, Panasonic contributes to the success of the Olympic Games with technology and video expertise from large screen displays, audio and broadcast equipments at the event venues to supplying top of the range cameras, camcorders and plasma displays to support the training programs of athletes such as the British Sailing team and heptathlete Louise Hazel.

The passion and excitement of the world’s top athletes are shared with people around the world, through a variety of state-of-the-art Panasonic products.

As Panasonic’s Olympic ambassador, Louise Hazel, who achieved Gold in the 2010 Commonwealth Games, uses Panasonic’s top of the range audio visual equipment to analyse and improve her performance as she prepares for the London 2012 Olympic Games

Panasonic UK also provides the British Sailing Team with state-of-the-art high definition cameras and camcorders, which enables their Performance Team to give sailors valuable scientific feedback and ultimately help increase their chances of bringing home gold medals. 

As part of it’s support for London 2012, Panasonic is delighted to be the Presenting Partner of 'Film Nation: Shorts', an exciting & inspiring programme to engage young people (14-25 year olds) in the art of film making. With Panasonic's technical expertise in broadcast & consumer camcorders, we are looking forward to helping identify new film making talent.

Film Nation: Shorts is a competition that invites young people to make & deliver films that celebrate sport & the spirit of the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

As the Presenting Partner of the Film Nation: Shorts programme, Panasonic works closely with LOCOG, the UK Film Council and its partners, to provide a series of UK-wide film making workshops for young people, using state-of-the-art Panasonic equipment. Shorts workshops, cover everything from camera skills to how to develop a story through to direction and how to successfully work with actors. Through the sessions and online resources, Film Nation: Shorts intends to encourage the making of over 2,000 films celebrating sport, participation, achievement and excellence in the spirit of the Olympic and Paralympic Games.
