I am requesting prayers for my husband, his mother & sister.  MIL is in the final stages of dying, and her passing is immenint. There will be a great deal of familial strife this weekend, as DH has powers of attorney& is executor of estate;none of which big sister was ever told. MIL & DH have had numerous conversations & emails, for the past 3 months, concerning different aspects of the estate. It is NOT going to be pretty. Please keep Shirley & Keith in your prayers through this weekend. Thank you in advance.

I’m so sorry, MJ! I will be praying!!

I’m so sorry for all of this—your impending loss and the familial strife it will bring. My husband’s family just went through all of this recently. My FIL was the executor of his mother’s will, but the oldest sibling of the family fought everything (not legally, although legal action was threatened). Part of the problem is that my FIL’s parents made oral comments through the years about whether this person or that person should be included in the will, but never made any written changes to the will to that effect. I assume you have a good estate lawyer working with you. If your lawyer hasn’t been party to the emails (and if the emails are relevant to the estate), I’d make sure your lawyer has a copy. I don’t know if they’ll be legally relevant, but if your SIL is going to put up a fight, it’s good to have has much written material as possible.

So sorry to hear that. May Lord bless them.

This is off-topic, but just found out about some dear friends whose son needs prayers, please.  John* was sent into their kitchen to turn off their espresso machine, and it exploded right then, sending him to the burn trauma hospital an hour’s helicopter ride away.  He has 2nd and 3rd degree burns, and is under heavy sedation.  Please storm Heaven with your prayers for this 12 year-old young man, and for his 4 sisters, and Mom and Dad…

I’m so sorry to hear this, Donna.  Prayers for this family, and for MJ’s situation.

Just said a prayer for him and his parents (I can’t imagine being in their place right now). Thanks for bringing this to our attention

Oh, so so sad!!! :(  We will definitely pray for him!  And for his family.  And for MJ: prayers.

Prayers for them!
