After using this tablet for a few days, I can already say that it is the best value that you will ever get in a tablet, by far. It is the most polished android device I've ever used and it's speed/quality are up there with the iPad, which is also more than double the price.
Design:
The Nexus 7 just spells out premium. The lack of physical on-screen buttons makes the face of the tablet look absolutely stunning. The silver aluminum border around the device give it a very sturdy feel from the edges and it also looks very nice. My favorite part about the design though is the back. They somehow managed to make plastic feel like a solid leather texture which feels very comfortable in the hand and looks great.
Display:
The Nexus 7 display is up there with the new iPad. It is bright, colors look wonderful, images and text are super crisp, viewing angles are wide and the size is just perfect. You can use this thing in almost any position without feeling awkward about it. It's just a great display.
Camera:
I thanks Google/Asus for not including a back camera, as it would make me look like an idiot... The front-facing camera is actually pretty good when in decent lighting conditions and downloading a camera launcher from the play store will make it useful
Performance:
This tablet is fast. For $200, it's amazingly fast. Jelly bean took away the one issue I had with android which was a bit of lag at odd times. Now, everything from browsing, gaming, videos and simply swapping between screens feels very smooth and fast. This is the fastest android tablet ever made in my opinion and it can easily beat or be compared to all $500 tablets, including the iPad.
Software:
I love Jelly Bean. I looks great, feels great and tastes pretty good too. Touch responsiveness is better than ever, speed is nearly unmatched and it is very usable for anyone, ANYONE. The new features are very well polished, including notifications, Google Voice(awesome!), project butter, Google Now, etc. It is the best version of Android, ever. I just wished OEMs would keep it the way it is...
Battery Life:
So far, battery life is amazing on this thing. After almost 2 hours of screen time, I had a little over 80% battery left, which is incredible by my standards.
Ecosystem:
The Play Store has everything you need and it will only get better. I just wish Google Music would make its way to Canada!!!
Conclusion:
The Nexus 7 is one of the best tablets on the market. For $200, it is by far the best valued tablet you can buy and there is no way to go wrong with your purchase. Buy the Nexus 7!!!
