PARISH NOTES:
Special Collection – will be taken up today for the assistance of the poor in Armenia. The funds are forward to Sister Arousiag in Armenia for this purpose. Your generosity and kindness is very much appreciated.
Mark Your Calendars-September 9th-Blessing of Students & Teachers: Students of all ages are encouraged to attend 10:30 Badarak so Fr. Mikael may help them get their school year started with a prayer for God’s blessing on their studies and activities.
Air Conditioner – Our Thanks to all who made a pledge and or payments to cover the cost of the Church’s new Air-Conditioner / Heater. When making any payments, please mark the envelope or the check that it is for the “Air”.
Volunteer Work: There are many ways parishioners may render valuable assistance in the Church. We would deeply appreciate you offering your talents and your time at your convenience. Please contact the Parish Office.
One of the reasons for asking for volunteers is that we ended our Fiscal Year on June 30 and we had a cash deficit for the year for $29,000. The main reason for this deficit was the loss of income from the Gymboree rent.
The Future of St. Marks – Sunday, Oct. 14 – A moderated Town Hall Discussion regarding the CRISIS in OUR Church. Make sure your voice is heard!
Summer at St Mark – We have listed below the contributions for the past five weeks and, as you can see, they are steadily declining. This is of great concern, because without the continued support of our parishioners, St. Mark Parish would not be able to function.
July 22, 2012 $319.00
July 29, 2012 $166.00
Aug 5, 2012 $139.00
Aug 12, 2012 $185.00
Aug 19, 2012 $351.00

This summer, plan to attend church here or as you travel. When you travel, bring back a bulletin and put it on the bulletin board. Who knows, maybe we will have a prize for the bulletin brought in from the furthest distance this summer.
Mass Times – While you are away, to find the closest church in the US, call 1-410-676-6000 or go to www.masstimes.org
Sacred Heart of Jesus – Jesus has promised a special gift for those who are devoted to his Sacred Heart, including his promise that the person will not face death unprepared and will have the chance to confess and have Jesus in his heart, at that time. His requested devotion with the essential prayers and acts, including the “First Friday” and Nine consecutive months promises, with the Sacraments of Reconciliation and Holy Communion and along with Badarak is offered on every first Friday of the month, the next 1st Friday will be September 7th at 6:30 PM.
Koffee Klutch – Is your family celebrating a special occasion, birthday, anniversary, retirement, etc. , why not share this happy occasion with your church family by hosting the Coffee Hour following Badarak?

Remember your church in your will:
Many members and friends have been blessed
and want to give generously to the Lord, but
have concerns about health, outliving their
resources, etc. One good way to give back
to God while balancing our earthbound
concerns is to remember the church in your
will. For example, some faithful folks tithe
10% (or more) of their estate to the church.
After our worldly cares are over, what a
wonderful legacy to our faith!
Membership info update – Have you changed your phone number? Have you moved or are you preparing to move soon? Do you have children no longer living at home? Have a new e-mail address? Have you received our recent emails?
Please help us keep our records current by contacting the office at 610.896.7789
Parish Outreach – There is nothing worse than an empty belly. There is nothing more senseless in this land of plenty than hunger. Please help our parish provide for those less fortunate. The list is simple. The need is great. Please help by bringing a food donation next Sunday. Please bring your can goods to the container in the church hall.
