    PC Nextday LogiQ 6024 review

    PC Nextday LogiQ 6024 review

    6 Last reviewed

The LogiQ 6024 from UK-based PC Nextday is a powerful and affordable ultraportable. While it may suit you perfectly, it has as many flaws as strengths, forcing you to consider your needs. The chassis weighs 1.9kg and is the lightest in this group test. Battery life is poor, however, and we failed to get two hours of use when on the move. The bright pink design is also unlikely to suit all tastes.

    PC Nextday Zoostorm 4-5728 review

    7 Last reviewed

The PC Nextday Zoostorm 4-5728 (£799 inc. VAT) is the only 17-inch laptop in this group test. Its impressive specification and high-definition screen make it suited to home multimedia use, but performance fails to match expectations.

    PC Nextday LogiQ M720SR-B review

    6 Last reviewed

The PC Nextday LogiQ M720SR-B (£649 inc. VAT) stands out in this group. It is highly affordable and the most powerful ultraportable we’ve seen, but is also annoyingly loud. As a result, it succeeds and fails in almost equal measures.

    Zoostorm 4-4623 review

The Zoostorm 4-4623 is pleasingly understated, with subtle silver-black styling. Lift the lid and you’ll find a keyboard that’s a little smaller than some of the competition, but it’s as responsive as you could expect. There are no layout problems, either, so you’ll be typing at full speed.

PC Nextday is a small laptop company that offers a range of competitively priced machines, keeping costs down through the use of generic parts. If the Zoostorm 4-4743 (£673 inc. VAT) looks familiar, it's because other manufacturers such as Rock also use the same chassis.

You'd be correct in thinking that the chassis of this new Zoostorm laptop looks familiar. The company has stuck with the same-looking models for over a year, but what's behind this 15.4-inch notebook is some serious hardware for under £500.

When it comes to styling, the Zoostorm isn't the most flamboyant oflaptops. Constructed from plastic, the chassis feels firm, but isn't overly robust.

The PC Nextday Zoostorm 53-7701 Family Laptop may not be the snappiest name for a laptop, but for its price we were surprised at how well it handled. Pitched as a 'family laptop', this machine needs to suit a variety of users

The arrival of Intel's well-received Core 2 Duo chip on a laptop deserves a triumphal fanfare. After all, it's a fast processor with low power requirements and doesn't churn out heat like an exploding volcano.

Take this machine, for example - if you performed a cost/benefit analysis after glancing at the specifications, you would probably jump at the chance to own it.
