Bristol trails get funding boost from Avanti Bikes
The five-year deal will help maintain Ashton Court and Leigh Woods trails (Russell Burton)
The future of Bristol’s Ashton Court and Leigh Woods trails looks rosy after Avanti Bikes and their importers Paligap agreed a five-year sponsorship deal for annual maintenance.

Trails at both sites are among the most used in the UK, with around 45,000 miles ridden each month combined. Wear and tear is inevitable but this agreement will help maintain tracks and signage and keep them in tip-top shape for years to come.
David Lane, Managing Director of Paligap Limited, said: “The trails are a magnet for people of all ages and abilities, from young children to cycling athletes, providing valuable exercise and enjoyment.
"We are now sponsoring the cycle trails at Ashton Court and Leigh Woods for five years, putting our money into trail maintenance for the enjoyment of all whilst building the Avanti brand awareness in the UK."

great news and I can't really moan much about the condition of free trails, but I hope the 'maintenance' consists of more than sprinkling the trails with ball bearing sized bits of gravel that seems to have been the default remedy post the ashton court rebuild
