Capcom unveils Remember Me

At its pre-Gamescom press conference, Capcom unveiled Remember Me, a thirdperson action adventure from Parisian studio Dontnod.

Supporting the announcement is the below trailer, which includes some gameplay footage and introduces the 2084AD Paris in which the game is set. You play Nilin, a memory hunter who, on top of her brawling skills, can break into people's minds and steal or alter their memories.

Inevitably, her own memory is erased, and she's arrested, triggering an adventure in which you trying to reclaim it.

We saw Remember Me (named Adrift at the time) in action last year when we visited Dontnod and, the combat sections at least, reminded us of a Ridley Scott-esque take on Vanquish.

Remember Me will be released on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC in May 2013.

A game set in paris and not a single french accent was heard.

A lot can happen in 72 years, just saying. The game could possibly have potential, I'm going to have to wait for several reviews though.

I'd also like to mention that the premise of the story being incredibly unoriginal really doesn't help though. So basically it's going to be all on the gameplay (and possibly music, but in this era of dubstep probably not).

Breaking into minds, stealing stuff, Paris.....where have I encountered this previously?
