Blizzard Entertainment Europe is looking for a localization supervisor, German to supervise the translation of German versions of Blizzard Entertainment games and other assets, and to liaise with the quality assurance (QA) teams to ensure quality testing.  The ideal candidate has previous experience in team management and game localization.


Responsibilities

  • Mentor personnel to facilitate growth within the department and company, provide coaching, counselling, and disciplinary action when necessary.
  • Ensure all employees receive monthly feedback via structured one on ones.
  • Support all platform services, and Blizzard Entertainment employee developmental programs.
  • Maintain all management database tools.
  • Monitor key performance indicators to evaluate efficiency, and make changes as necessary.
  • Work closely with the training group to assure the training team is knowledgeable on any changes, and incorporates them into workshops.
  • Interview, test, hire, and assist with training full-time and temporary employees.
  • Ensure employees are properly rewarded via our recognition programs.
  • Track employee attendance, and verify timesheets for accuracy.
  • Enforce human resources, and departmental policies and procedures.
  • Help to contribute to a positive work environment.

Requirements

  • Project lead or supervisory experience
  • Capability of managing small to medium size teams (5-15 employees)
  • Strong oral and written English communication skills, and must master the target language at a native level
  • Strong motivation, high level of commitment, and excellent teamwork skills
  • Experience in managing multicultural teams
  • Passion for video games

Pluses

  • Previous work experience in an international environment with non-European headquarters
  • Good knowledge of World of Warcraft and Blizzard Entertainment licenses (Warcraft, StarCraft, and Diablo)
