*Cue ridiculous fanboy outrage* Bob is ACTUALLY (pronounced act-to-all-ee) a bad influence on Frozone, NOT the other way around. *RFO over*

Also (and this is just one man's opinion here), Princess Merida is placed ridiculously high. I honestly don't think she belongs on the list, but that's just me.

Like a lot of grown ups, i love the Pixar movies, and i loved reading this list. But that said, for me, Mike Wazowski is no.1. I'm a 29 year old man with a teddy bear version of him on my shelf lol, he is the just the funniest character they have made, and i cannot wait for Monsters Uni. and Merida is so high so soon?? Time will tell but for right now, i don't think so.

Got to disagree. Mike Wazowski ahead of Dory? No chance. Seriously, never got Billy Crystal. Not funny, ever. But hey, thats comedy, one mans annoying-and-not-as-funny-as-he-thinks-he-is cyclops is another mans cuddly toy. Still love Monsters Inc tho. Great list!!

On behalf of my two year old (a veteran of over 500 viewings) , and indeed myself too, but MATER? WTH? Is it just me or does TF have a major anti-Cars bias. Great list, but really? Even the lamp gets a placing.

I feel Gill from Finding Nemo is quite a criminal omission.

Dug is only number 41? And he's not Carl's long-standing companion - they meet during the film! Carl initially rejects Dug and only accepts him towards act 3. Also Roz ends up being a critical character - much more than just a jobsworth. Has the feature writer actually watched these films?

Flik is Pixar's first leading man? What happened to Woody?

" it's Bullseye's look of naked terror that always gets the tears rolling at Toy Story 3's fiery climax. Oh God, you had to bring that up. :'(

I thought Wall-E would be second or first and it would be a contest between Woody or him. No idea why Marlin is ahead of Dory.

This is a very good list, I like how you feature Pixar Short characters. However I agree with others. Dug is wayyyyyyyyyy to low, I have no idea what you where talking about Flik being the first leading man, Marlin is a fantastic character but should not be above Dory and some characters are criminally missing with stupid ones in place. Rod "Torque" Redline got in for only one reason I bet and even if he was on here anyway he should be 50. Oh and when you mentioned the whole Bullseye thing I instantly thought about the scene at the landfill when you think the Squeeze-Toy Aliens apparently die. I have never been more distraught than watching that scene for the first time. I was so relieved when they came back.

Quite honestly, I don't think its fair to rank these characters, unless you're going by a serious criteria. That being said, I just really enjoyed going back to all my memories of these characters. What I particularly love about the Pixar canon is that each movie is easily relatable, whether you're a child or an adult, and that every film has an incredibly touching quality to it. They don't sugarcoat anything, with certain characters dying, growing up and growing apart, and even being surprisingly malicious, but they guarantee happy and fairly realistic ending for everyone. Every character is spectacularly human in very aspect of the range of emotion, Woody's initial jealousy, Lotso's lifelong bitterness, WallE's childlike wonderment, Dory's humorous affection, Syndrome's resentment, Anton Ego's final humbleness, and so on. The sincerity of the heroes and the villains is really what makes the character's great and therefore, it's really a question of the humanity of a character that makes them great.
