As I type these fateful words, Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 is raging up and down Gamescom like a maddened bull, shattering journalistic schedules with every whisk of its enormous, grenade-dispensing bottom. Gagging to know how dreadfully the beast will upset your social life come launch in November? There's a massive, Microsoft and Activision-orchestrated livestream event happening in - oh, roundabouts now.

I watched it - can't wait to play it!!! Some of the weapons sounded really good too - Like 50 cal sniper and LSAT LMG. Seemed odd to me that a lot of the players ran with a mode select switch - burst or full auto as it takes up 1 of the 10 slots. Was good to see how a lot of it worked though. Perks are ALL player based so things like Steady Aim are weapon based 'attachments' and have a visual representation like a laser sight. The maps also look good although we only saw 3 - Cargo (with moving shipping containers), Aftermath and Turbine. We also saw the new Multi-Team Team Deathmatch and a King of the Hill type game mode as well as standard Team Deathmatch and Domination.
The actual programme seemed more of a showcase for the codcasting abilities than the actual MP and I expected a bit more information about the MP itself, a look at the create a class in more detail and showing some of the weapons too instead of just showing a few matches and demoing the codcasting software that is built in.
Either way I am still looking forward to it and have it pre-ordered to drop through my door on the day of release if Amazon post it on time and there is no postal delays!!

You can skip directly to the live games so you don't have to watch it all if you don't want
