Phoenix NAP Marks Two Year Anniversary, Looks to Future

PHOENIX, Ariz., Aug. 2 — Phoenix NAP, a full service data center, premier infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) provider and primary network access point (NAP), announced today plans for the remainder of the year and into 2013 as it celebrated its second year anniversary.

"The transformation from where we were two years ago, to where we are today is amazing," said Ian McClarty, president of Phoenix NAP. "Initially we were focused on gaining trust through reliable service and high-density colocation solutions at a state-of-the-art facility. Building off of early successes, we then integrated more of a mass market, infrastructure-as-a-service (IaaS) strategy through dedicated hosting and cloud options. Today we are working on bridging it all together through hardware-as-a-service (HaaS)."

Hardware-as-a-Service is the latest Phoenix NAP offering, centered on the leasing of various IT equipment. The unique solution provides flexible lease options for servers, RAM, HDDs, Raid cards, racks, PDUs, cable managers, and network switches.

In addition to the release of HaaS, Phoenix NAP is continuing to expand and evolve its public cloud offering to become a global cloud provider throughout the next year. The world-class data center is currently in the process of launching its second cloud node location in Amsterdam with a third node following shortly after in Ashburn, Virginia. Phoenix NAP also has plans to roll out virtual private data center markets along with managed infrastructure for storage needs.

To learn more about Phoenix NAP's plans, please view a brief video from Ian McClarty, president of Phoenix NAP.

"We are constantly working to stay ahead of the IT curve to provide our customers with leading systems and solutions," added McClarty. "It's an ever evolving process but we are thrilled at how far we've come as a data center and company and look forward to the remainder of 2012 and future years to come ."

Phoenix NAP is a PCI DSS Validated Service Provider and a SOC Type 2 audited facility.
