Good thing they have 4 others to help them remember!

Those parents were so smart. They saved a TON by putting the weddings together in one day. Chances are the couples have a lot of mutual friends, so it also keeps the friends from having to attend multiple weddings in one year.

The only people I feel bad for are the people that knew all 5 couples and had to buy 5 wedding gifts at once!

As for the presents, they worked it out so there was one big registry for all of them so family just needed to get one present and they worked the rest out between all the couples. Smart, I think.

@M Actually, they have to meet with the bishop AND the stake president to get a temple recommend, but it is they, themselves, who "deem themselves worthy" during those interviews.

@DeDe, but still the people who are invited in for the sealing ceremony must be "deemed worthy by their bishop" to enter.

        Congrats to the new families.

It is great to see that some families still get along and enjoy each others company.

I couldn't do it. My siblings and I can't even decide on pizza let alone a wedding.
      • Casey 4 hrs ago
Nayah, if it were me and my sister, we would probably end up in shouting arguments because she still has big sister syndrome. She still thinks because she's the oldest, she gets to have control.

Really, she even tried to dictate where I would go on my honeymoon.

Blondie,,, sounds like my family, we are lucky if we make it two hours.

Nayah, I completely agree. My siblings and I can't be in the same room for more than 2 hours without somebody getting into an argument. A quadruple wedding would have been a disaster! LOL

      one reception dad was smart

I think it makes a lot of sense. For 5 weddings, no use having all the guests come to 5 different ceremonies on 5 different days, spending 5x the amount on the photographer, reception, etc. Wishing all of the couples the best of luck!

This is wonderful greetings from Barbados everyone

My late husband and I were married on my parents anniversary. It was a celebration of their years of love,,,and the beginning of our 41+ yrs of love together. We didn't celebrate together.
I see nothing wrong in sharing the best day of your life with those you love and hold dear.

What's up with this announcer? I could do without his so called sense of humor; or should I say not sense of humor?

That's pretty cool! What a clever family, they pulled it all together in just 4 1/2 months! I wonder if they got group rates on anything. Congratulations to all!

They must all have really great in-laws for there to be no drama that happened. ....On a side note I kind of feel sorry for little brother Drake or maybe not they can go all out his wedding day.

Reminds me of the classic movie "Seven Brides for Seven Brothers" I love that movie!

I actually know 3 of the siblings in this mega wedding. Each of them is an incredible individual. Honestly, this wedding wasn't as weird as it seems at first glance. Each of these couples met and got engaged independently, and it all just happened to be around the same time. Many of the siblings/fiancees did NOT want to have the wedding all on the same day at first, and it was more of a joke in the family. But then they looked at the logistics and realized the family wouldn't be able to make it if they had 5 separate weddings within the same year. So, they decided to coordinate it as one big one. I'd be willing to be the divorce rate among this group will be drastically lower than throughout the rest of the country, and world for that matter.

I read a similar article about a family in the south, except all of the people in that picture were related before they were married.
