GOG.com Gets A Little Less Old
Digital distribution service will add newer titles, including Legend of Grimrock.
03.27.12 - 3:52 PM

Good Old Games (GOG.com) has lived up to its name for quite a while now, but it's time to expand. Today the DRM-free digital distribution announced that they will be adding some not-so-old titles to their library such as Trine and The Whispered World, but RPG fans may be more interested in pre-orders for Legend of Grimrock. The first-person dungeon crawler from Almost Human Games can now be pre-ordered on the site for $11.99 US (the regular price is $14.99). This price also includes wallpapers, avatars, concept art and more.

Legend of Grimrock, which pays some homage to older dungeon crawlers such as Wizardry and Bard's Tale, consists of four heroes and uses a rune-based magic system while you crawl through classic-style dungeons complete with puzzles and lots of monsters. The graphics, as you'll see in these videos, are a little less old-school.

Here is a pre-order trailer:

This is a gameplay video from last year, but worth having a look at.

Legend of Grimrock will be available on April 11th.
