So yesterday when sharing the newest video for
Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning, we happened to mention that news about a demo would be forthcoming pretty soon. Turns out 'soon' meant 'the next day,' and we have not only a date, but a look at some of the bonus items you can unlock via the demo.
And they'll be especially interesting if you plan on buying a game called Mass Effect 3. By playing the demo, you can unlock some Reckoning-themed items for Commander Shepard to use in ME3. By installing the demo, you'll get the Reckoner Knight armor, designed by Todd McFarlane. By beating the demo, you'll also get the Chakram Launcher.
Conversely, if you play the Mass Effect 3 demo (due out later this month, apparently), you'll unlock the Omniblade Daggers for use in Reckoning. And finally, when you buy Reckoning, you'll automatically get a set of N7-inspired armor for your character.
To read the full FAQ on the promo, go here. The Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning demo, by the way, is set to release next Tuesday, January 17th on all platforms (PC, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360). There is no new information yet on the Mass Effect 3 demo, but be sure to check back for more details!
