The five most beautiful laptops

About The Author

CNET Editor

Craig was sucked into the endless vortex of tech at an early age, only to be spat back out babbling things like "phase-locked-loop crystal oscillators!". Mostly this receives a pat on the head from the listener, followed closely by a question about what laptop they should buy.

For some of us, it's important for our laptops to look as good as they perform. After all, technology needn't be drab.

You shouldn't have to haul a dull laptop in a ho-hum, unnoticed way out of your briefcase, feeling the unspoken scorn of all those around. Grab the nearest svelte sleeve, and match it with one of our hot picks below. Then you can unveil your sexy laptop to an awestruck hush, and draw the oohs and aahs of your envious peers.

Clearly, it's all a matter of taste — if you've got something else that makes your pulse flutter and builds a sweat, post in the comments below for the world to adore.

Yah thin is not always sexy take women for instance, I like mine with a big rack and a nice backside. When it comes to laptops the big rack is a nice big whopping HD screen 17 to 21" and the the nice backside is as Tim Allen would put it "MORE POWER!" Yah size and weight does not matter to me if you can't carry a few pounds around all day then I call you a wimp! I have the Alienware M18x with dual video cards, 3 hard drives and Blu-ray slot drive. You know if it had come with a 21" screen, I would have gotten that one! I like the stealth bomber looks and all the lights and like the stealth bomber my laptop would destroy the laptops in your list even the Razor! If stuck to your list the Razor wins in looks and power and the Mac is for sheep and is the one laptop I would fire a nuke at.

I'll stick with my Asus G75VW. I love the black and metal look combined with the angles makes me feel like I'm holding the control center to a sophisticated military jet or space ship. Check it out next time you make this list.
Also, get that Macbook off here. A Mac is just a flat piece of aluminum. There's nothing special, creative, or unique about a Mac. It's just another computer. Now those iron man stickers that go over the light up apple logo are bad ****

"You shouldn't have to haul a dull, grey laptop"
Then why are all 5 dull and grey?

Thought someone might say this. Have to concede the grey -- even the three black laptops in there are technically grey if you take it as far as tone saturations. Obviously dull is a subjective adjective though.

We'd love to hear what makes your sexy list Jive Turkey -- what tickles your fancy?
