    McKayla Maroney is the best. There, we said it. Now everyone can breathe easier. We were all waiting for someone to get that out of the way. The McKayla Maroney Is Not Impressed meme is the best joke to come out of the Olympics so far, and one of the most adaptable memes in a long time. You can use it on anything, like a post about the Mars rover, as we proved the other day. Yes, she didn't win gold on the vault like everyone thought she was going to. But providing us with so many jokes after the fact more than makes up for it.

    She's been in on the joke for a minute, too. She's following her own parody Twitter account, but today she took it a step further. She's been trying to have a swimming race against teammate Aly Raisman, but when you're in the Olympics and you're a tourist in London it can be hard to find the time. Until today, when the girls tried to go to a pool but it was closed. They were not impressed.

    Also, before you get any ideas, SB Nation already photoshopped McKayla being not impressed onto the picture of McKayla being not impressed. Our memes are falling in on themselves.

      Please note.. that the "Atlantic Wire" and Yahoo.. are linking/reporting on the Twitter tweets of a 16 yr old girl, wanting to swim with her teammate. (Please bear that in mind, across the summer/fall as they try to convince you of their aptitude as political pundits.)

        Sorry guys, I'm with Bobby on this one. It's not creepy to recognize that cute girls are cute. It's not creepy to remember the days when you dated girls like that, and be nostalgic for those days.

      I LOVE this girl. From the first day of prelims, I could see she had the attitude and looks (if not the all-around gymnastics skills) to be a STAR.

      After she crushed the vault in the team competition, I figured her Gold in the individual vaults would propel her to the front of Wheaties boxes.

      Then the crash. And the silver. I thought, oh well, blew your chance.

      And yet here she is, rapidly becoming one of the biggest names in the Olympics anyway.

        C'mon people, the Russians cried and cried, and you are giving this girl a hard time for 1/100th the reaction, when her disappointment was at least as great if not greater?

        Actually if you read her expressions, body english, she appears to be a prima donna. Seems to be aloof from the rest of the team....like " Im good and I know it". Well, is okay to be good, but be humble..........accept with an open heart. Finally, be happy and enjoy the moment.........

      I thought she had a marvelous Olympics. Good job sweetheart, congrats on both Gold and Silver. May not be good for you but to some of the commenters on here, getting a Silver Medal and being the 2nd Best in the World is not a bad thing at all... I hope you stay at and I look forward to seeing you in Rio !!!

      They keep on writing news articles about the spoiled rotten, arrogant, sour loser Mckayla Moroney, I guess their trying to washed her bad attitude and image. She embarrased our country, since she was representing our youth, good manners and culture, and now they trying to make a joke about it. Thank God, no company is going to give her any endorsements now, no reputable company wants to associate their image with one of a little brat.
