They should be asking did NBC pass the test.

The olympics is bigger than any 1 nation and should be bigger than NBC's commercialism. How self-serving and shameless. Animal practice? Who cares?

Ha, I was just going to say, "ask if NBC passed the test" FAIL

I probably can agree with you there!

NBC did a p---poor job and I feel cheated out of viewing anything but volleyball, basketball, gymnastics and track. What about the rest of the Olympics? Pii

I felt cheated out of gymnastics. There was so much stupid dead time of American athletes warming up or standing around, and they could've used to the time to show countless athletes from other countries. Who cares if they weren't expected to medal? I'd rather watch anyone perform than watch anyone chalk their hands for five minutes while commentators jabber about nothing to fill the time.

That's what I love about the olympics, getting to see the non-standard sporting events. I would have loved more diverse coverage, I really did not need to see EVERY women's beach volleyball match.

Too many stupid events and NO one wants to see them!

The only problem was NBC's coverage. Or what coverage I should ask.

Anytime there is not a terrorist attack at a major event it should be considered a big win. The opening ceremony was typically English (reserved), so I guess they portrayed themselves appropriately. I'm thinking that the 2016 Olympics opening ceremony in Rio will be a lot more spectacular, colorful, and fun.

London did just fine...NBC's coverage of it re-wrote the definition of "EPIC FAIL"

A flawless Olympiad? No sorry that would be a failure. But then nobody ever pulls off a "flawless Olympiad".

The bad news: NBC had already won the rights to cover all Olympics up to 2020. We need to petition the IOC to revoke that and pursue other networks to work with, since NBC has demonstrated it's incompetence in broadcasting this one. It will be a while until I can watch anything on that network for fear of having to hear those magic words..."but first, an episode of Animal Practice."

it was all water polo, soccer, volleyball and basketball. What happened to the other sports. We didn't see winners of other sports or medals being awarded.

I agree with what you say but can't tell if you are being funny with your palinbachmann screen name. Please tell me you're making fun of them.

The ancient Olympians would be laughing historically at today's Olympics. Ping Pong? Badminton?

I really hope NBC lost millions. The sooner they go bankrupt, the better for all of us.

London did great. NBC on the other hand sucked!

UK/London did great. Must be all that expertise with royal weddings, funerals and miscellaneous pomp and pagentry. :-)

I thought the XXX Olympics had something to do with porn... I was very disappointed!!

I kept waiting to see our basketball team and did not until the final game. The NBC was drab and lifeless to me. I loved the old Roon Arledge (I believe) and those old commentators who were interesting and exciting. NBC needs a new crew next time.

i heard on MSNBC that NBC is cancelling The Today Show.

The events themselves were great... but I didn't like the opening and closing ceremonies. OK... The Queen parachuting was extremely cool, and I liked the idea of the Spice Girls on cars (typical British camp fun!). But what the hell was the "boy meets girl" musical thing that Danny Boyle thought was a great idea? It wasn't.
