....very, very dissappointed with the selection of a few members of the gymnnastics team, the men's team in particular. Why are the selection officials pinning our fortunes on emotionally delicate, insecure boys, prone to crying a lot. I especially had it with Leva's constantly hiding his crying under his security blanket, only to be followed by his dad and his ear fettish and HIS evident need for attention. What a circus...4 years to change 4 the better.

Will we be able to see this one live? It’s kind of lame watching and already knowing who won.

...first off, GH...I don't understand why someone had to give you a thumbs down, just because you're offering a different view. I disagree with you however, given that NBC has been or will be awarded the television rights again. My reason?...because I was fairly happy with NBC's taping of this year's event. I especially enjoyed watching the mens' marathon live at 3:00AM Saturday night...it really added something special, especially given the near end of the games. With the time difference being only the 1 hour, I feel NBC will follow suit in Rio and simply show the event live...no big deal. Any negative viewpoints were regarding the insufficient coverage of other athletes' competition, that weren't Americans, or lack of coverage of most "fringe" (yet still highly exciting) sports that NBC must have deemed not worthy. After all, haven't we been given broadcasts in years past of "curling" ?

I got to watch and enjoy many sports live in the morning from Telemundo ( a Hispanic TV station). I even understood what judges were looking for on diving and gymnastics. Many times I muted my TV, put some of my favorite music and had fun. You don't need to understand Spanish to know what is going on a volleyball match.

I had to put a piece of paper over my computer screen to check my e-mail. Why can't they at least not put up pictures, and just say if you want to know-click here.

given that no one knows the future, violence surrounds us and the next ,maybe. is 4 years away...thats some heavy speculating. besides, there are much more important things to 'speculate' upon.

They must mean the twitter and facebook Olympics, because that's what most of this one was about.

Disgsting that you can simply ignore the fantastic American women's soccer team after they won their third Olympic gold! Yet, you cover all the lesser sports.
      • Gladiator 12 hours ago
NBC did the worst coverage of the Olympics I have ever seen. I hope they don't do the next one. I got so sick of seeing nothing but water polo and volley ball.

I just assume they're all lesbians so it makes it easy. They're too arrogant and seem like bullies. They need to tone it down in Rio and quit trying to be so butch all the time.
      • Tom 1 day 9 hours ago
Lesbian or not, it would seem a lot of the American women's soccer team has some major personality and character problems. They are rude, brash, and the smile on Alex Morgan's face as she gave the New Zealand goalie a knee to the face just embarrassed me as an American, so, personally I don't care if they don't cover this team. I'd rather hear more about the women's indoor volleyball team, even if they did only take silver.

The entire team is incredible. I sure hope they have enough money for red, white and blue costumes, outfits, warmups. The US Team clothiers did a horrible job in outfitting our athletes. Embarassing.

As much as I would love to see the Americans shine at any Olympics, let's not cross that bridge until we come to it. That's four years away and anything could happen.
    • tim h  •  Southfield, Michigan  •  1 day 13 hours ago
very unenlightening report. nothing about the future in the men's sprints, very little about women's gymnastics, nothing about men's diving, no mention of manzano in men's distance....
