I hope NBC does not cover the Olympics - EVER AGAIN. They did a terrible job with the coverage and totally ruined it. We probably saw 10% of the competitions and what we saw was pathetic.

ESPN should cover it as they do such an amazing job with the Grand Slams (tennis).

Sorry Nikki...they have the contract through 2020. Shame on the IOC, profit vs. respect for those in the US who would like to see the actual event.

NBC did a horrid job of it. They should allow any network to show it, who wants to. It's the Olympics. Why should any one network in the US have a monopoly on the Olympics?

too bad we have to deal with the NBC monopoly on showing the olympics till 2024 i believe

sure would have been nice to have seen it in real time as opposed to tape delay on US tv. isn't this the twenty first century? good job nbc, you useless retards

wonder if it is going to be edited for content so as not to offend anyone like the opening ceremony was, the tribute to 7/7 was left out so that we would not offend the poop head islamic terrorists or some other pc crap.

but they left the tribute to socialized medicine in, and then showed a commercial where a hotel was donating used equipment to the brits cause they couldn't afford new equipment. thanks to obummer care that will be the USA in another decade.

Um, who's the perv looking under her dress? She can't sing, but she always looks great. I bet they lip synced. I'd bet all the money I have that they did not sing live.

The closing ceremony was just all about the Spice Girls, not the Olympics :(
    • Sane  •  1 hour 34 minutes ago

Ha! I already seen the closing ceremonies through the BBC so I do not have to bother with watching NBC's **** poor coverage and I am going to rely on international networks when the 2014 winter games happen and every Olympics after.
      • Matt 38 minutes ago
VarnJ, there will be online sites like firstrowsports.eu will be the best places to go to bypass the bull**** NBC tries to pull off. I just be glad once after the 2020 summer games, someone with more commonsense will take control of the showing the Olympics starting with 2022 winter games.

I've always been lucky enough to live 20-30 minutes away from Canada. The CBC always had outstanding Olympic coverage (especially the winter Olympics) & was saddened to have found that our local CBC affiliate didn't carry Olympic coverage.

Yeah, but NBC is too ****ing retarded to make it live on TV for everyone to watch but no only those who can be online can watch it. They have lost my respect and my viewership. Oh and John, you are too damn sense as well since NBC is showing it a HOUR after the closing ceremonies ended live!

I wish they would all compete naked like they did in ancient Greece. They are pretty close to that now.
      • dan 39 minutes ago

    • Joe  •  51 minutes ago
The closing pictures are great, but why does yahoo post many copies of each picture and say there are 226 pics to view!!

Are there any white people left in britain?
    • Glenn  •  39 minutes ago
The Spice Girls? Britain has so much more talent they could have showcased. How about Sting or Foreigner or even McCartney again. Anyone but Spice Girls. They can't even sing
