Hits: it was always a really good game especially on those boring days when you have nothing to do and got a lot of time. :]

The Full Report: This game is very fun, but very difficult at parts. The secrets are sometimes a little too secret. There is lots of busywork playing not-so-fun mini games in order to progress further in the game. Would recommend trying this one, but I would not buy it. It's very similar to the first one, so if you liked that one you'll probably like ths one as well.

The Full Report: I've yet to find a sequel that lives up to the original. I have a female character and in the original game it alternated between female and male characters so that there was always close to an even match. The new one has NO female characters except for my avatar. How do you expect to populate an island with males only? Although I don't mind searching for hidden objects, this game goes overboard.

I could catch all but one fish and, even though I could find it, I couldn't seem to ever find a spot that would allow me to catch it. I wasn't interested in playing all of the mini-games, they were optional in the original. It got rather tiring dragging the monkey around to find objects, since he/she was the only one that could see it. In the original it didn't matter. Any character would do.

Needless to say, I gave up short 1 fish, 3 tikis and 2 jewels. The designer could take a lesson from the original version - keep it simple. I've replayed the original dozens of times. I'm not sure I'm ever going to make the effort to finish the sequel. I certainly won't play it more than once. 3 stars is generous.

The Full Report: Don't bother with this one folks. I got most of the way through only to have the game freeze. After doing some research online it turns out that many other people experienced the same problem. There is no fix. All you can do is try to get a game credit or your money back.

The Full Report: Ok, so it may have been a great concept but they don't tell you what to do! Pointless!

Hits: mini-games, easy to learn, variety

Misses: music is very repetive (my boyfriend asked me to turn off the music and play with just sound effects), can't imagine I'll want to replay it.

The Full Report: The mini-games are a huge plus. The style of the game is very similar to Virtual Villagers, but you can play fun mini-games (hidden-objects, bejeweled type game, and a solitaire type card game) that you can play while your castaways are building things. Made there nearly no 'waiting' time while I played.
