Husband of TV9 executive charged with her murder
PETALING JAYA: The husband of TV9 executive Syaleza Jaffar, who was found dead with strangulation marks, has been charged with her murder.
Norazman Bashah, 31 was charged before magistrate Ahmad Solihin Abdul Wahid under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder.
The IT executive for a gas and oil company was dressed in a purple collared t-shirt and accompanied by family members.
Norazman appeared calm, nodding as the charge was read to him. The court fixed the re-mention of the case on Sept 14.
Syaleza, 31, was found dead on July 27 in her bedroom in Saujana Apartment, Damansara Damai, Petaling Jaya.
Though initially classified as sudden death, a post-mortem later revealed that Syaleza had been strangled.
