Does Square's Latest Hitman: Absolution Trailer Offend You?

Square-Enix recently released the "Attack of the Saints" trailer for the upcoming stealth-action shooter Hitman Absolution, and it caused some serious drama all up on the internets. For the majority it came down to either the inappropriately dressed (and armed) nuns, or outright violence against the women by Agent 47 himself. Others just brushed it off. What's your take?
Update: There's some actual mission gameplay footage of Hitman: Absolution up now on Youtube, thanks to VG24/7.

Zing? Why? Was that was a good joke? I'm not allowed to have an unfavorable opinion on social matters because... I'm white? A male? Only half of that is true. If you feel you're life has been inexplicably fortuitous or serendipitous, maybe it's because you're white... and rich. Or just rich... or you're mom and dad have subsidized everything you try at... or you have good luck... whatever. The world I grew up in has everyone scraping and clawing to get ahead. That's why I play video games and go to video game sites... to escape. Why are you here? To break balls? To regurgitate something you read somewhere you chose to be, chose to read, and chose to decide that you are self-righteously going to insert it into other people's opinions? Obviously I, too, am being self-righteous here, which is a good example or irony, but then again, I can't believe I'm just now realizing as I'm typing at this point that this is a huge waste of time because you probably don't know how to have mutual respect for others. But then again, according to your argument, I must love Hitler. That is how you think. Go make a meme about how everyone is dumber than you post it under one of your 3 reddit profiles... one for each of you moods.

I dunno, I mean, the hypersexualized nuns/death angle isn't worse than stuff out of grindhouse movies, but I can't think of any game trailer off the top of my head that's as bad as this one...

Did I imply that white males were in need of defense? And what's with the "straight" comment? Sexuality has nothing to do with this, gender does. Every aspect of pop-culture is hyper-sexualized, that's no surprise to anyone, except you apparently. Remember all the feux-controversy stirred up after the first Resident Evil 5 trailer was released? Every one was quick to come to the defense of black zombies everywhere, including you probably. And here, the helpless demographic of fake-nun, assassins are in dire trouble. They cannot stand up for themselves!! My point is, OBVIOUSLY white males need no "fight"ing for, poor and down-trodden many of us are. And, incidentally, yes I can find a few trailers "where males are hyper-sexualized and then killed". Do you need some links to help you watch them? Is the sarcasm coming through to you now? If there irony is lost on you, you're lost in the irony genius.

I... don't understand what you're getting at. Maybe you've missed my irony? Maybe I'm lost in irony? I can't say I know what that means or whatever, but here is an irony-free reply, and you tell me where I've gone wrong:
I suggested that it's dumb to equate the debauchery of white males with the debauchery of women or minorities. The reasons, of course, should be fairly obvious, but in case you're wondering: there are certain pervasive and structural patterns of behavior that are unjust and materially harm these groups and benefit white men. Treating women in the way that this trailer does contributes to this injustice, and quite possibly contributes to the mistreatment of women in various and sundry ways. The same is just not true if the trailer *were* depicting men in this way. (I added in 'straight' because of the imagery was aimed at heterosexual boys/men, but it's not super-important. I felt okay adding it in part because of your seemingly irrelevant addition of 'white'. And thanks for assuming how I responded to some other issue; isn't it fun to win arguments by making unsupported assumptions? I assume that you just love Hitler.).
Not every aspect of culture is sexualized. In our present discussion, for instance, it's clear that men are absolutely, positively not hyper-sexualized. Think of some male characters in games (or super-heroes, or whatever) and think of some women charcters in games (super-heroes). How are their costumes different? Are the women presented in a way that is sexually on a par with how the men are presented? Don't be dense.
And, sure, give me some links. I mean, I guess sometimes men are sexy, but show me a game trailer where a man strips down to spedoes, where the camera lingers over his bare chest and speedoed-crotch, and then this guy is brutally killed.

You're not the best reader, are you? I never claimed your life was easy, I never suggested my life was easy. I never said anything about Resident Evil 5, and I never *actually* said you liked Hitler -- that was a joke based on the fact that you seem to argue by telling me what I believe, then arguing against *that*. And, of course, you're still doing just that. The "zing" was irony, I guess, because "go to college" is about the dumbest come-back you could have used at that point. And the irony is only helped by the fact that your follow up post is almost unreadable (though I apologize if English isn't your first language).
I am not keeping anyone from having an opinion, I'm not censoring anything, and I wouldn't have the power to do that even if I wanted. I don't care which of us is smarter, or who has gone to college, or who has a sense of humor, or who's regugrigating what, or who has a bigger dick. I'm just saying that a shitty trailer is shitty. That's my opinion, right? And I can even say why I think it's shitty, which I did above. Why is this so complicated?
