Half-Life Source: First Black Mesa footage surfaces

The first videos of the long-awaited Black Mesa, a Source-powered Half-Life update, have surfaced online.

Both are taken from old builds of the game and show portions of the On A Rail and Surface Tension chapters from the game. While the latter video is near unwatchable, the former - while dark - offers a tantalising glimpse of the refreshed Valve classic.

One addition that's sparked some controversy on the Black Mesa Facebook page, however, is the ability to use iron sights with the Magnum - though this looks to be the multiplayer zoom function brought across to the singleplayer game.
