Parappa the Rapper is a neon orange beanie-clad dog with better rapping chops than any radio gangsta. In the PlayStation rhythm game classic, you'll help the lovestruck mutt get his groove back through six colorful stages that take you everywhere from crowded restrooms to a freaky frog's flea market in a bid to win Sunny Funny's heart from Joe Chin, a narcissistic nutjob who may well steal it away from Parappa. Believing in yourself and enlisting the help of all your friends are major themes in this trippy, 2-D adventure, and it's garnered a cult classic among fans of the genre since its 1997 release.
Players complete rap verses in a call-and-response pattern by pressing the corresponding PlayStation controller face button in time to the music. Parappa will spout pre-recorded snippets of dialogue in response to each stage's teacher and in the end players create a complete rap.
