Google actually starts setting standards for Android apps on Google Play

The days of slapping a malicious Android app together and quickly tossing it onto the Google Play store are at an end. Per Mashable, Google (GOOG) has updated its developer content policy page to ban specific types of apps that are detrimental to Android users, including spam apps, apps that misrepresent themselves and apps that disclose “people’s private and confidential information, such as credit card numbers, Social Security numbers, driver’s and other license numbers.” Mashable also says that Google sent out an email to its developer community outlining the new guidelines.

Also work on allowing the user to delete the preset stuff on the phone. I feel like I have to buy a new phone because I dont have enough space due to the stuff already on the phone that I can't delete. The apps I actually download I move to my my SD card, but when new updates come to google maps for example and its already 13mb and you can't move that to your SD card you have to start deleting stuff you actually use.

Finally, sick of app's that do nothing more than spam me with ad's then force close my phone over and over again. I love the android platform and the open market it provides, but they should have been regulating this from day one and I hate to say this because it's going to come out wrong, but these countries like india and pakistan need to be heavily monitored. The fact remains that on the android market they are producing more malicious applications than any other country/region simply because we cannot (wont) pursue them for stealing and using our credit cards to make online purchases.

Google finally realized that a total open platform = bad user experience. Next Google needs to seriously require only vanilla Android so that updates can be streamlined. Far too many Android devices get abandoned months after being designated as "flagship" models.
