Battlefield 4 release date could be as late as March 2014

They better be releasing it so they can begin working on bad company 3 either that or they have a gameplan

Personally I am expecting it to be released around October 2013 (2 years after BF3) and in keeping with EA's yearly FPS release schedule. As for BF3BC - Maybe BF4 will be more like a Bad Company game than BF3. The main thing that separates the too is the Campaign which in a Bad Company game (certainly BF2BC) was a lot more open in feel - I know you still had to get from point A to point B but you had more freedom in how you did that. The characters had more humour and it was more fun than BF games are. Maybe BF4 Will take what made BF2BC so good and combine it with BF3 (Most notably the Frostbite2 engine) and give us BF4. It may not have a Bad Company name but it maybe a Bad Company type game. Some People may think that iff they called it BF3BC it is an add-on or hasn't progressed from BF3 so may not get it but by having an increasing number it indicates progression.

Dice have released a game every 2 years (roughly) so I don't see this changing. Also the DLC for BF3 is due to end in March 2013 which I am sure has already been made - however it will give them 6-7 months to concentrate more on finishing BF4, beta testing it and getting it ready for an Oct release. They already have the Frostbite 2 Engine in place so I expect it will be easier than making BF3...

Hmm, I'd say april 2013 myself as I'm expecting next gen in the latter part of the year. Likely we'll get a release on all possible platforms though so could easily be the more likely october release. But BC2 to BF3 was 18 months, they already have the engine, it just needs to be refined and they've been doing that constantly since release. Just get some idiot fired who does the SP and make the campaign battlefield, with no waiting for doors - making doors, jumping in tanks when you want to, helicopter missions, jets, and hopefully it's set in 2142 esq and has mechs like that game.

More BF, less CoD - there's room for both.

now - i hope your maths is up to scratch - with 12 months on the year, how do you correlate that there is 12 months between october 2011 and (lets say the earliest expected release of bf4) april 2013, what with the years being seperated by 2 numbers...

its MoH warfighter that's out this year, handled by danger close, that will be released one year after battlefield 3. but thats a different game altogether
