Skylanders Giants dated

Swarm character also revealed in new trailer, screens

Activision has announced an October release date for Skylanders Giants.

The sequel will hit Wii, Xbox 360, PS3 and 3DS on Friday, October 19 in the UK, and October 21 in the US, the publisher confirmed to CVG.

Activision has said the Skylanders franchise generated more revenue than any other game property between January and April.

A new character called the Swarm has also been revealed in a trailer and some fresh screens:
