“So, Ray, what about the two young men from Akron that were murdered outside the nightclub in Atlanta? You pleaded down after squealing on your friends, you were not found innocent of the crime.
If you were truly repentant and wanted to clear the air like the good christian you purport to be you wouldn't have any trouble talking about it. But in interview after interview you refuse to talk about it in detail. Or your role/actions on that night.
You've tarnished the Ravens' win by your lack of honesty.”
“You know, this has happened so many times ...
Could you all think a bit before posting some shocker headlines about a show, with a picture of who this shocker does or doesn't happen to?
Above is one example, but the biggest I remember recently is that you all showed a picture of the character 'LaGuerta' from the show 'Dexter', with the headline: "who dies on Dexter?" Are you kidding?
And there last week where you show a picture of the wedding that didn't happen from the last episode of 'Downton Abbey' with some kind of headline about a wedding shocker!
I am not the only person in the world who DVRs a show to watch the next day, so could you guys think a bit before creating these headlines?
I know I'm only one person and don't hold much say in this, but I guess my best option if you all choose to do nothing is just go to another site.”
“Everyone seems to be missing the point here.
Sure I'm not happy about this at all, but it does put a stop to a long-used Republican ploy of stalling legislation by just threatening to filibuster. It also gives Democrats an easier way when it comes to judicial appointments.
Just that alone could be very useful and powerful.
(I agree that I think Reid and most other entrenched old, white men in the Senate should be held accountable by term limits).”
“The fact that "Paul acknowledged that he may have trouble garnering support for his proposal in the Senate, where Democrats hold the majority" would show that this is his, and his party's decision, not the decision of the American people who voted them into office.
He should start thinking about who gave him his job, and do what they want, whether he like it or not, not what his GOP and NRA puppet masters tell him.”

“How is this the best part?
Think about it before you comment. This guy is forcing his own politics on his employees by docking their pay, and they can't do much about it because in this economy you take whatever job you can and stick with it to pay your bills/support your family. This guy is being a d!%^ to his employees because they don't think the same way as him. How is that fair and responsible?”
“Nutty ideas like having more guns to curb gun violence -- cue the rim shot because that's a joke - were definitely not on the agenda, so of course Frenchy would say the White House wanted nothing to do with protecting kids. His version of protecting kids means throwing them in a bullet-proof cage surrounded by gun-toting guards.
Some childhood.”
“Sorry to confuse you with logic, but read what I wrote again: the Swastika is not a Buddhist symbol. The Nazis perverted it to be emblematic of them and their sick message.
Thus, I'm proving the point that Nietzsche was making. The symbol itself is not horrible, the Nazi usage of it IS.
Splitting hairs, I agree, but Nazi symbolism cannot ever be thought of as neutral.”
“Try again.
According to Bloomberg China lent the US an estimated $101 billion in December of 2012!
Their lending to the US or not has ZERO to do with recovering their money -- this isn't like lending your brother-in-law a little cash to tide him over til payday. There are many, many reasons they choose to lend us more or less money like stock prices, the weather, the market in their own country, their inflation of their own currency, need, etc.
Try doing a little research. I'm not too smart and I found the truth concerning your false assertion in less than a minute.”
“Incorrect: The swastika (svastika) is a middle eastern/asian symbol used primarily by Buddhists. The Nazis adopted it as their symbol back when they were still pretending to be 'good guys'. Of course just like Friedrich Nietzsche, anything the Nazis used as their own is still considered bad even though nothing is wrong with either.”
“I weep for our future!
(She knows enough to post a picture online, but can't figure out how to use Google or another site to confirm something she doesn't -- but should -- know?)”
“Two wrongs of course don't make a right.
What the paper did was wrong, and what he did was wrong.
I completely understand where he's coming from, though.
I think in the end it's a lesser of two evils, and the paper obviously did more damage by taking their actions than he did.
(I, BTW, do not own a gun, and see no reason why anyone, unless they hunt to survive, not for sport, would do so).”
“I think the theory is a reach.
Like any good writer, characters are based on someone in real life. Lindsey might have taken this or that from Pardo's real life, but saying Dexter is only based on him is an insult to Lindsey, the show's writers and Hall.”
“An insult?? Hardly. I think Lindsey borrowed quite a bit from the Pardo story- as well as from many other serial killers I'm sure. Serial killers aren't unique in their pathology within their small dark group. And as a writer myself I can pretty much guarantee that Lindsey did his research and used what he found.”
“This is a comment on all media, not just Huffpo.
Almost 30 people were murdered by this guy. More time needs to be spent celebrating the lives of those killed rather than this guy and any mental issues he may have had.
I'm tired of hearing about him.
A discussion of mental health issues and how they may related to violence like this makes sure, but this guy doesn't deserve more publicity.”
“Yes he does. What he did was horrid but he is a victime of a society that doesn't even care to have an adequate discussion about mental illness. All of the money in the world doesn't help in a society that doesn't even try to understand mental illnesses or proper treatment. He is NOT being celebrated. People are simply trying to understand this so that perhaps it won't happen again.”
“Unfortunately his story does need to be told so it does not happen again. Maybe there is another mom out there going threw the same thing and this will get her attention so we don't see this again. This guy was not a harden serial killer, He was a mental case that slipped threw a broken system. Obviously we are all appalled by what has happened but anger and rage will not help this situation. Focus on fixing the corrupt system rather then a Dead mentally disturbed killer.”
“There's a difference between publicity and awareness.
There's a difference between glorifying and investigating.
Most of us just want to prevent a recurrence. Therefore, we figure out how it happened by reviewing the facts and pressing our governments to act according to our wills.
What good does it do anyone to exploitatively show private funerals on TV and click "like" on Facebook spams?”
“I would say that you are wrong. Can we really waste anymore time? It is not just mental health system issues but the way in which WE treat one another. Especially those that are different from other kids, we have to teach kindness, and teach kids to include everyone, even those that seem weird or odd to us. I believe that that is the real story.”
“As tragic as it is, there may be other people around the country or around the world that are faced with similar issues and may benefit from the insight provided by the findings in this case. If you are not one of those people, it's probably a good idea to turn the channel or click elsewhere for your news.”
“I understand your point however I disagree. I feel great symphaty for the children murdered but also I feel for this kid too. He wasn't normal and he was lonely. No father, brother and he lived with only his mom. That would be normal for a normal person but it's obvious he had some mental issues. May God have the final judgement.”
“I think this is an attempt by the producers - a good one, in my opinion - to return the show to it's horror-movie roots, and not make it so soap opera-ish.
I think going to B/W will take the focus off of the set 'dressings' and more on the actors and their actions -- which was always the draw for me with this show.”

“That makes zero sense! Women are not the problem here! The problem is with these men and a culture of men who do not see a problem with sexual abuse!
As a man I'm shocked that a woman would say this: you're really just blaming the victim.”
“Miriam is not blaming the woman. But when the women fight back they are treated worse!! Of course women aren't the problem but until women have some type of protection while in the military than there is a great likelihood you will become a victim and one must ask themselves is it worth it.”
“OK, why don't we try something. Get a nice thick uncooked steak. String a line through it and hang it around your neck. Now take a nice, leisurely walk through the wolf exhibit at your nearest zoo. See what happens? Women should stay off the streets and definitely OUT of the military.”
“Anyone else notice he didn't apologize for what he said? He just apologized if it was misunderstood to mean that he thought the people he worked with/for were 'filth'. So this is really a non-apology that is just a bunch of words that really mean nothing.
I hope Chuck Lorre and the people at CBS are smart enough to see this.”
“Weasel words - the modern day non-apologetic apology. The grammar and words used are so not those of the average 19-year-old. Looks like he has been given a good talking to and a bit of education into what not to say if he wants a continuing career in showbiz. Not quite so pious now.”
“When will parents realize this is just plain ol' shi**y?
All you're doing is giving your child another reason to hate you!
Here's a shocker ... try talking to your kids! Maybe then you can understand why they feel they need to do these bad things, and how you and they can work to resolve the problem.
Shaming them shames you just as much -- if not more -- because it points out your horrible parenting skills!”
“parents like these maroons don't know how to talk to their kids cuz no one ever talked to them... it's a cycle of stupidity that never ends... truly sad for all those involved.”
“Wow, pretty good Scotlandsgirl!
This is pretty old news, though, and I can't believe that people weren't aware of this before now -- it's in their literature and even on their web site! (Doesn't anyone research who they give money too?)
I agree that they do good things, but not with my money.
As HHDL says “Our prime purpose in this life is to help others. And if you can't help them, at least don't hurt them.”
And I think the out-dated and mean way that the SA feels/acts towards the LGBT community is only hurtful, not helpful.”
