Weebly Install Guide
StatCounter provides free customisable hit counters, visitor tracking, web analytics and website stats for Weebly.
- Sign up for a free account at StatCounter to get your StatCounter code.
- Copy the StatCounter code.
- Log into your Weebly site (opens in a new window).
- Click "Edit Site".
- Click and drag a "Custom HTML" element on to your page.
- The "Custom HTML" element will now be visible on your page.
- Hover your mouse over the "Custom HTML" element to highlight it.
- Click the "Custom HTML" element to edit it.
- Click "Edit Custom HTML" to open the "Custom HTML" window. (Note that you can also change the alignment of your "Custom HTML" element using the drop down options.)
- Paste your StatCounter code into the "Custom HTML" window and then click anywhere outside the window to close the window.
- Now, repeat this procedure and paste your StatCounter code into a "Custom HTML" element on EVERY page of your website. (NOTE: if you have a Weebly blog, then you can add StatCounter to the blog sidebar area using the same method. In this case, you will find the "Custom HTML" element in "More" rather than in "Basic" - see below.)
- When you are finished adding StatCounter to every page of your site, click "Publish" and that's it!
Your StatCounter will now begin recording visitor information and, if you chose the visible option, your counter will be visible on your Weebly site! (The image below shows a sample StatCounter.)
