Google Sites Install Guide

StatCounter provides free customisable hit counters, visitor tracking, web analytics and website stats for Google Sites.

  1. Sign up for a free account at StatCounter to get your StatCounter code.

    The rest of these instructions are repeated when you get the StatCounter code sign up now!
  2. Copy the StatCounter code
  3. Log into Google Sites
  4. Click on the site to edit
  5. At the bottom of the sidebar menu click the "Edit Sidebar" link
  6. Scroll down in the center and click "Add a sidebar item"
  7. Click Add under Text
  8. Click Edit under the new Text entry at the bottom of the menu
  9. Click the <HTML> button in the popup box
  10. Paste the StatCounter code, click Update, then click Ok
  11. It will probably give you a warning message, this is ok.
  12. Click Save at the top

    13. Sign Up Now!
