Dreamweaver Install Guide

StatCounter provides free customisable hit counters, visitor tracking, web analytics and website stats for Dreamweaver.

  1. Sign up for a free account at StatCounter to get your StatCounter code.

    The rest of these instructions are repeated when you get the StatCounter code sign up now!
  2. Copy the StatCounter code
  3. Open your web site in Dreamweaver
    • Dreamweaver 2: Click on the 'html' tab
    • Dreamweaver 3: Select 'html source code' from the 'window' pull-down menu
  5. Insert the StatCounter code anywhere between the <body> and </body> tags (ctrl v)
  6. Ignore broken image tags
  7. Insert the code on to every page in your site that you want to track
  8. Save your changes and publish your pages
